Amy Winehouse's Father Says Motherhood Will Rid His Daughter Of Her Drug Habits
Wishful thinking? Or straight out denial? I'm pretty sure a treatment facility and complete isolation from her current life are the only two things that are going to rid Amy Winehouse of her addictions. But hey, I'm not a doctor so who knows. When asked about his daughter's drug habits, Amy's father said her desire for children will put an end to it all.
"As for the drugs, she will get bored with them because the desire for children will take over. Amy knows that if she and Blake are going to have kids then she has to be in perfect health. "I honestly think that in two years she will be fit, healthy and having babies - motherhood will be her drug."

There are lots of babies who are abandon by their crack head mothers. Having children is the last thing this woman should do. Why bring a helpless baby into this world if you don't have your sh*t together? Having a baby is not like buying the lastest purse of Jimmy Choos. Stupid, annoying, insane person!!

This is the dumbest statement I've ever heard... Does the father really think pregnancy/babies change drug addicts? If that were true, there would be no such thing as crack babies. This woman would continue doing drugs, drinking, and smoking throughout her pregnancy - it's ridiculous to suggest that she become a mother. RIDICULOUS.

This girl needs some serious help. I am waiting to read her obituary in the gossip columns. I think the system has failed her. I think she is surrounded by people who are out to make some money and do not really care about this amazing artist. It reminds me of Britney. Amy’s Dad…. Why don’t you pull a Jamie Spears and act like you give a damn about your daughter. Denial is a powerful drug itself.
It is common knowledge that "crack hos" usually do NOT give up their drugs for motherhood. Sorry :(

I really thought her father was smarter than that! This girl doesn't stand a chance, it's more likely that she will be dead in two years, not a drug free happy mommy. So sad.
It is both Wishful thinking and straight out denial. That is a really daft thing to say, you can't and should transfer on addiction to the other. Amy just needs real help from people who are not out to make something of themselves from her woes. Shoot i say take her to any villiage in African, she will stop this crap, she will focus her crazy self on washing clothes at the river, cooking, carrying water on her head, going to the market a good 5mile walk away, that will straighten her out.

The entry about Naomi Campbell wanting to become a mother was scary enough, but this woman should definitely not go there. She can't even cope with herself, let alone a demanding baby. Physically, she doesn't look well enough to become pregnant, but it does happen! It's interesting the comment came from her father. I wonder how much "hands on" experience he had in bringing up his daughter, especially as a baby, or was it his wife who did it all. Anybody who has brought up a baby can see that this woman is in no state to be thinking of motherhood.
Even if Amy does sober up long before having a child there are still posibilities of birth defects as a result of her use. I think it is great that she wants to be a mother someday but I hope she straightens other things out in her life beforehand. Yeah Vera, it does look like she had a self tanner accident... I always mess that stuff up too, that i why I just stay pasty white like I am naturally. :)
