Bridal Season - Anyone else planned or planning showers bachelorette parties???

So, the summer is upon us and I am looking for advise and I thought who better to ask than the INO groups! I am planning not one but two bridal showers and one bachelorette party that all fall within 45 days of each other!! I would love to hear about what other people have done for food, decor, games, prizes, places to go (for the bachelorette), etc. I have never hosted one before so it is pretty new for me! Been to many, but would love to make this as unforgettable as possible. Please share all advise and memorable stories! If you are in Minneapolis - specific ideas around here are greatly appreciated:)

My daughter is in the same boat you are. She is a bridesmaid in an upcoming wedding for her best friend and the maid of honor who is the bride's sister lives out of the country, so the bridal shower for the friends and family has fallen on my daughter. She is also looking for ideas. She is having it at my house outside in our flower gardens and patio area, so nature will be the decorations, except for some candles. We live on an acre of land and 1/2 of it is a formal garden area that overlooks the mountain range. Our view is beautiful, so we thought it would be perfect. It will be a late Sunday morning/early afternoon brunch. I will be making all of the food, I haven't planned the whole menu yet. We will def have mimosa's and we have ordered the cake from a great bakery that is in the area. As far as what we will do besides eat and open gifts, that part is up to my daughter and I am not sure what all she has planned as of now. Probably play a couple of fun games. She is trying to get a slide show together that shows the couple from their births through when they met and fell in love up until their engagement. She will be narrating it. So she is trying to get some funny stories to tell with the pictures. I think she is planning for about 25-30 people. I have white buffet plates that I will be using for the food. But that's pretty much it at the moment. The slide show will be towards the end so the groom and his dad can watch it also.

A male stripper for sure. That would be too much fun.

I went to a bachelorette party with a male stripper and the guy had a straw in his mouth and stuck down my shirt. Somehow it got back to my husband and he was not too happy about it. But I agree male strippers are fun for a bachelorette party, just don't give your guys too much info about everything that happens, In my case I think one of my friends that was there told her BF and he told my husband.

ahaha that is funny! Yeah I guess you would have to make sure that the info wouldn't get back to the guys. I've seen pics from one of my friend's bachelorette's party and it looked wild!!! I hope I get to attend one in the future!!

shower bingo is nice for bridal guests fill in boxes with the gifts bride will open first...then mark off the boxes as the bride opens gifts....you give out small prize for every bingo yelled like candles or candies or whatever you can get from Dollar store - game ends when you run out of the small prizes

OMG, I loooooooooove Dollar Tree. Great prize items for showers. I also get stocking stuffers there. I buy throughout the year and when Christmas rolls around I have plenty of stocking stuffers. I go at least once a week as I am totally addicted. There is always something new in, and things vary from store to store. See something you like you better grab it(it's only a dollar, so what the heck), as it may not be there too long. So there are 2 stores that I frequent.

I don't know how wild and fun you want it to be, but right now, the girls party rage is stripper pole parties, where someone comes and gives lessons.
