Looking For A Diet Book Reviewer

Looking For A Diet Book Reviewer

Do you love to keep up with today's diet and fitness fads? Are you always curious about the newest and latest weight loss sensations? Not saying you are actually going to follow them... but when you hear "The Flat Abs Diet" and "The Caveman Diet", does your inquiring mind just need to know?

INO is looking for a reader who wants to contribute to FitCeleb by reading and reviewing the newest published books on diet and health. Please only serious readers apply.

I want a quick and easy overview written for several of today's popular titles with reasonable turnaround. I will ship all the books to you and pay you a small fee for the write up.

If you have a passion for knowledge and are looking for some experience online, please email me.

Please attach a sample submission of your summarizing abilities when contacting me. It could be about the last book you read - doesn't have to be health related.

Look forward to hearing from you!

I would love to, but I suck at writing! I'm taking a course on writing 101 this year in University. I would love to but do not have the time with school and all! Vera, I wish I could be a part of your website!!! :( If ANYTHING comes up, can you tell me?! I would love to contribute! This site is my fave! :D And I have one question! Do you recognize my name from commenting here, or do you just not read the comments at all??

Sometimes I do. Mostly I don't.  If I know it's a heated post, I try to avoid it. :) Like the below passerby - telling me I'm exploiting people instead of fully telling them from the start that I don't have much money to pay. The type of person who leaves a comment like that is one I don't like to come across. Too much negative energy and not worth my effort to read.

There is only so many times I can read that nonsense in a day.

Seems like I touched a raw nerve, Vera. Are you above criticism? lol No, I'm full of positive energy. That's why I don't like seeing people being used and ripped off. Sure, there will be those who regard your carefully worded offer as an "opportunity", but everyone is entitled to be paid fairly for the work they do. If you are unable to do that, then perhaps it's not the time to go down this route.

Wouldn't it be of more value for your readers to have these diet fad books assessed by someone qualified to do so, for example a dietitian? But I guess that would cost more. Why are you only offering a small fee? Reading a whole book and summarizing it is a lot of work. People should be paid properly for the work they do. Sorry, Vera but it sounds like exploitation.

1) It's not exploitation if someone applies and agrees to do it. There are people that use experience like this to start their own businesses and/or get full time jobs. This isn't a sweatshop in China and she's not drugging someone and putting them to work in handcuffs. 2) Do you really think it's a lot of work to read a book and comment on it? A diet book? I mean, really. 3) A dietitian is great, but there's no real need to have one review a book. No one on this site is looking for a scientific research study, I don't think. Besides, most of them don't know much more than an average person anyway. 4) When you start your website, you can hire Dr. Joe Diet and pay hime $5000 per book review...sound good?

Another way to save money is to wait until someone reviews it at Amazon and then just refer to their review ;-) Just a thought...

Why is everyone being so negative! I think this seems like a fun opportunity! I personally love reading these types of books. And she is not asking for the most elaborate review, just something simple and fun. I personally would have an amazing time doing this! Even for free! Stop the negativity!

I think its a really cool idea and I would totally do it. I am a nutritionist and a personal trainer so I know about this stuff. My only advice would be to put a disclaimer somewhere cuz any diet book can be b.s. if they were not written by a doctor or a nutritionist. Also tell the ladies the truth that a 'diet' (i hate that word it should be removed from the dictionary) will not work, never ever ever until you change your whole life and outlook on food and exercise. Wouldnt you ladies rather be able to eat whatever you want and look fabulous rather then starve yourself? Exercise and eat well and in 6-8 weeks you will start to see results. I went from 180 to 115, a size 13 to a size 2 so if I can do it anyone can.
