Izzy Will Die?

Rumor has it that there is talk of killing off Katherine Heigl's character on Grey's Anatomy. After everything the team has done to accommodate her movie schedule, the Emmy withdraw was the last straw and the show's creator is considering cutting Heigl loose.
"It's not good there," a source tells me of the Grey's Anatomy set. "Shonda is pissed. They're thinking of killing her off. They want Izzie dead."
What do you think? Is it Katherine's time? Will the show still be worth watching without her on it? Or is this all nonsense?

Be careful what you wish for. People like her because of Grey's not because of her acting ability. I hope they kill her off and she turns into the female David Caruso (box office poison)!

They are giving her exactly what she wants. The only reason she is there 'taking up space' is b/c they accommodated her movie schedule, and now she is trying to leave GA in the dust. Hope it works out for her....
I think KH overestimates her own popularity and staying power. She obviously doesn't want to be there anymore, so they're better off without her. I hope she regrets her inflated ego one day!
I actually like her and think that she has great box office potential. She was amazing in Knocked Up. I do not think they should kill her off. However, I think someone (possibly her manager) should tell her that it is not wise to bite the hand that feeds you.

I personally like Katherine Heigl and I think she is a good actress. Saying that she just takes up space and the good stuff comes from the other doctors is ridiculous, have you even seen the season where her future husband died. And she one an emmy for a reason so obviously she is good.
The show sucks now anyway. Without Kate Walsh and Isiah Washington. I think they had their day and it is time for them all to move on.

Honestly, I would prefer the show with out Izzie's character. I find they have written her in to a place that they should not have gone, insecure and whiney. Her character could have been so positive, especially with overcoming all that she has overcome in her life and the strength the character had.
I have enjoyed KH on both the big and small screen. I think she's talented and witty, but was not impressed by her emmy stunt. Makes it look like she's getting a bit full of herself.
Greys has had plumetting ratings because of the bad plotlines. She has been wanting out since last season and the contract is ironclad UNLESS they kill her off. She made some smart moves, pissing off the writers is a surefire way to get off the show. AND she withdrew from the emmys because she knew she was getting recognized for a shitty part and itd undermine her as an actor.

She is full of such nonsense. Sandra Oh is on the show too. Hello? She has been an ACTUAL accomplished film actress. Golden Globe nominations, plus other awards. She does film and doesn't put out silly press releases about it.
The daughter she gave up for adoption should come find her in the hospital and take her out. The end.
Katherine Heigel is correct for speaking out about the deplorable condition of the material that has been doled out on Grey's Anatomy. Personally, I have hated the show since Addison left, and after they pulled that crap with Izzie sleeping with George, I bailed. The show has been badly written for a very long time and Shonda has no one to blame for this type of fall-out but herself.

i would LOVE for katherine heigel to leave gray's anatony. izzy has always been my least favorite character on the show. i feel disappointed every time a scene cuts to her. i can't believe she was given (or even nominated for) an emmy for season two. remember when she stood outside and stared at the hospital *all day* when she was supposed to meet with the chief? over the f'ing top stupid. heigel herself comes across as arrogant, ungrateful, holier than thou, etc. so, that would be awesome if izzy died.

In my opinion, Katherine Heigl is a good actress, not great. She clearly thinks too much of herself and is becoming far too comfortable. That did not take much time, did it? Ridiculous! Some of her scenes on Grey's have been pretty gripping, but she is far from a scene stealer. If she does not have any respect for the show, or her cast mates then she should go...
This can't happen soon enough for me. She was moderately entertaining on the show during the first season, but since then? Please.
And I find it hilarious that she thinks she's such a movie star. "Katherine, let me introduce you to Shelley Long..."
I liked her at first but it seems she has gotten a bit arrogant since the rise of her fame. If she keeps up her snotty attitude, she will have a hard time finding work!
ergh im so sick of her. i hope shonda kills her character off. izzie was so annoying these past two seasons i wont miss her at all. and katherine heigl should get over herself. that emmy stunt was ridiculous. if she's so confident with movies then she should just stop complaining , leave greys and build her career in movies. personally, i dont think she's that great. and i think she's ungrateful since the whole greys production has been comprimised by her movie work. kill izzie off!
the show isn't even worth watching anymore. They shouldn't kill her off though-then she'll get what she wants. put her in a coma or send her off somewhere like they did with Suzanne Sommers when she was doing three's company. Don't give her a scheduled time for her scenes and let her sit in her trailer on call all day and then let her shoot her 10 seconds laying in a bed or making a phone call.
So the show gets rid of Kate Wash and Isiah Washington, my two favorite characters that were on the show, if they get rid of Katherine Heigl, then the show is going to be hard to watch... I mean sure the chick that plays Callie and The chick that plays that doctor who took over for Burke are cool also, but jeez.... reminds me of 24, when they originally got rid of the Tony and Michelle characters I stopped watching, and i believe the same thing will happen with Grey's. I think Katherine H should just keep her mouth shut, I mean I have seen her in movies and on Grey's and well let's just say if she left Grey's I think her big screen movies will go away too....

I would suggest an accident where her face is disfigured and she is in a coma and then after plastic surgery - voila - a new Izzie - it works for the soaps.
Even if they do decide to, it's not going to make the show any better. Taking 'Dr. Burke' was one of the dumbest things they could have ever done. I'll watch the show sometimes, or if she does die. I'd like to see what they try to do. The show didn't interest me at all this past season. I stilled watched but I picked other shows over Grey's.

Yes, GA made KH a big star, and I'm sure she knows that. But there comes a time in every actor's life where they have to make the jump from the tv screen to the big screen. KH has already been in a number of movies and i'm sure she is ready to stop doing both GA and the movies, because i'm sure it is alot of pressure on her. While I do not enjoy the annoying whining from izzie's character, I don't believe they should just kill her off like that. She deserves a more dignified exit, i mean she did win an emmy and i cried with her when Denny died.

the best season ever was two when "izzie was given much material with the denny's death scene and all the deny drama it was cool
i think the best thing they could ever do is give izzie more material and bring a new hot guy to be with her and stop all the crap with alex and cut off george if they are that igger to kick someone out but izzie no i love her and i think cutting her off could be the going down hill point for the show

Are you freaking kidding me?! Izzy Stevens rocks. She is one of the best actresses on this show and killing her off will do no good at all. I hate Denny, just because I love Alex and Izzy together. No one can call her a "Scene Stealer" because she doesn't get THAT many story lines. I personally think, if they had to kill someone off, they should kill george off. He is absolutly crap and I often forget he's even there. He hasn't had a good story line in ages and he's so boring. Lexie, Izzy and Alex rock, dude!
She should survive the cancer, and then be so inspired to work with cancer patients that she moves to another hospital where she can work with the best..or something like that. Its annoying that they are killing her off when they can just do it some other way. First denny and then izzie? Please >_>
