This is more of a public service post than a fashion post, but a commenter on Jezebel.com noted this morning that at Nordstrom, people with two different-sized feet can purchase a single pair- each shoe in the correct size- for the price of a single pair of shoes.
I checked it out on a couple of podiatry websites, and the program covers people with a difference of a size and a half (for example, a 6 and 7.5) or more and is meant to make shoe shopping easier and less expensive for people with various disabilities. Shoppers can make the purchase right in the store with no hassle, just like anyone else.
Be sure to pass this info on- not only could it be useful for a friend or family member, but it also makes me feel more disposed to shop at a store that will eat a little profit to help someone out.

That's certainly nice of them. I'm pretty sure everyone has a foot that's a bit bigger or smaller than the other one. But a whole size to size and 1/2? Holy moly!
i almost always try to buy my shoes from nordstrom just because of the great return policy. i will never forgive myself for paying hundred bucks for hideous brown bridesmaid shoes at macys that i should have bought from nordstrom and returned ! the bride made everyone buy them form macys . she wanted them all for the same place . crazy bride , but dumb me for following along !!!!!!
yes, actually that can happen my son has a condition called hemihypertrophy where one side is longer and bigger than the other so it is possible one shoe fits and the other one doesnt
Love Nordstroms! Anniversary sale this Friday!
