Britney Spears To Pay $20,000 In Child Support A Month

This morning we learned that the custody battle was over between Britney Spears and Kevin Federline. NOW the ruling's details are beginning to trickle out. After signing sole custody over to Kevin, the courts are requiring Britney to pay the backup dancer $20,000 a month in child support.
Those kids better have EVERYTHING their little hearts desire to justify that kind of expense.Â
Britney also obtained additional overnight visits with the kids.Â

britney needs more time to get herself together. maybe the kids being with kevin right now is good; maybe he is not in it for the money; maybe after a year or two she can try for joint custody. maybe, who knows? but, i have to say, if it was me i would have fought like hell to keep them and i wouldn't have cared if it went on for years.

Well Kevin did it!, he first turned her crazy, then took the kids away and know makes her pay, i feel sad for her, i think the worst mistake she made, was to marry this gold digger.....poor kids, they're being used by their own father....and for those who may think he is not in it for the money, just remember he left his PREGNANT wife or girlfriend, just to pursue Britney.
Poor kids? That's crazy. Kevin is the responsible parent in this situation. And Britney knew all about his pregnant girlfriend but still pursued Kevin. It takes two to tango. No, he should not have married Britney while Shar was pregnant with his child, but again, let's not place all the blame on Kevin. Britney knew all about that.
The kids are obviously better off with Kevin. She has had ample time to get her act together to regain custody of the kids. As far as Kevin making her go crazy, I don't think so. Everyone has been in bad relationships. People have free will to do what they want and she chose to be in that relationship with Kevin. She could have broken it off sooner, but she didn't. I'm glad she is getting better, but for now, the kids are better off with Kevin.
Yeah, I agree with Debby and $20,000 a month is chump change to her. She probably spends more than that on hair extensions. She can always go back to court at a later date and regain more visitation if and when she gets better.

gosh i cant believe it ! some ppl have no heart! yes everyone has been in crazy relationships- some ppl are more vulnerable than others i.e britney- pushed into bein a child sex pot since she was 3 or summin?!?!? thats no childhood! all she wanted in her early 20's was to find herself cuz all she would know of herself is how to be sexy...she wanted value in her life- looking for more than superficial crap. lots of young girls that arent famous do that- and many of them do it the same way that she did- find a mate, get married and have kids. she happened to find a f*ckhead who knows how to take her for a ride and get all her money. controlling ppl can do amazing things when someone is vulnerable. many girls have been torn apart by horrible controlling men. difference is they can get over it and get support in privacy- she couldnt cuz she had the paps and what seems like everyone in the whole world against her saying she is a bad person and has lost the plot- that would sure do it for me, and it sure as hell did it for me without me even bein famous open your hearts ppl. and wise up to the as* holes of the world cuz there are plenty of them...and dont gimme the cr*p saying "shes loaded ra ra ra" money means nothing and even works agaisnt ppl such as in this instance
yeah yeah we've all heard that Kevin is a golddigger, Kevin is a user, Kevin is this, Kevin is that....play the blame game all you want. Just remember, Britney picked him, married and have his children knowing that he already had a girlfriend who was pregnant at the time. It wasn't like he was lying and hiding his past. He was very open about it as far as I'm concern. Britney is paying the consequences like she should, or otherwise, how else is she going to learn from her mistakes?? That is just the way it is. I'm glad Kevin got sole custody. He may not be the best father in the world, but he is sure a lot more stable than Britney.
Did someone just say that Kevin took the kids away from her? I disagree she got the kids taken away from her - she's a lunatic.... sorry but she is the one that went crazy not kevin. Now is he the most responsible - uh no... but is it probably for the best he has the kids now - Yes. He didn't just marry her - she married him. I think it's silly to place blame on one person... it takes two to tango.
No one here complains when the women get that kind of money for child support, so it doesn't bother me that he's getting it. Did he marry her for her money? Yep, but women have been marrying men for their money for years. Can't have equal opportunity and then cry foul when the menfolk get theirs.

For all the comments I've read so far, you are all happy that she didn't get the kids and that she has to pay. So I guess you can all go out and party to celebrate. I wish her the best and the future will tell... the truth and everything else. What goes around comes around. So K-Fed got her money so I guess he's happy too! Money he hasn't earned and I don't believe it's all going to the kids.
I agree...this money isn't all going to the kids. I really am not on either side in this situation. It is very messed up. Who knows what Kevin's or Britney's true intentions are. For a while, when Britney was going koo-koo, I thought maybe she just didn't want to be a mother and was intentionally trying to lose custody so she could be free to party. I just can't believe that $20,000 in child support is rational. I cannot imagine blowing $20,000/month!! Being an average person with an average wage this concept is completely foreign to me. Unbelievable. Britney should be donating a portion of that to needy children instead.
I'm actually surprised at that figure, it sounds quite low considering her annual income. If it were joint custody, that would be more in line, but i would expect to see that amount per child, if not more, since he got sole custody. A decent private school will run $35,000/yr in LA, and a nanny to the stars can make $60,000/yr easily. Add in medical expenses, insurance, bodyguards, any travel they do, that money is gone. I'm betting that isn't the total of what she's footing, they probably have other agreements for her covering all the expenses mentioned above. That $120,000 is just going to be rainy day money.

i'm totally not a fan. but its so sad to see where she was and the state that she's in now. i wish her well, seriously. apparantly she's needed some help for a long time now. Amazing...I seemed to see she had a personal account on the rich and success dating site ^^^Sugar Daddyconnect . co m with profile and blog when looking for dates and fun with hot girls there recently. The blog was updated very often. Lots of guys joined in her friend circle.

the choice was between the obviously bad and the better parent. Kevin wins hands down. i don't think Britney Spears wants boys -- they cannot feed her narcissism. she's happy to give them up. if they were girls, she might have tried harder. her low point was the period of hanging out with Paris Hilton, wearing one stocking each and each carrying one of the babies at night, going into a bar. for that period alone she deserves to lose these children.
Kevin is the only stable parent these boys have ever known. So he gets child support. Big deal. Britney has too many mental problems and is also extremely narcissistic and immature. She just wanted to get married and have a baby for the attention and was probably looking for love and wanted to see how cute it would be to be a wife and mommy. But then she got pregnant with her second baby too quickly after the first and reality set in and she couldn't cope. I don't think Britney ever thought about what it meant to be a wife or mother, ie, considering someone else's needs and happiness before your own. Remember her dragging those poor babies all over LA at all hours of the night? Hopefully they were too young to remember. I think her pregnancies really sent her mental disorders over the edge. Kevin seemed like a horrible husband but at least he knows how to take care of his children. Even his ex-girlfriend says so. Now Britney will get to play mommy a few times a week without the responsibility of having to make any real parenting decisions which is probably what she wanted all along. Sorry I do not see her ever being a real mother to those children. Paying $20000 a month is the least she can do in my opinion.

The issue I'd be interested in knowing is the use of the $20k. I hope Britney has demanded receipts to prove that her cash is being spent on her two sons, and not on Shar and the two children she has with Kevin Federline. Kevin needs to provide for them off his own back, with his own cash.
