Christian Bale's Attorney Releases A Statement About Arrest

"Christian Bale attended a London police station today, on a voluntary basis, in order to assist with an allegation that had been made against him to the police by his mother and sister."
"Mr. Bale who denies the allegation, co-operated throughout, gave his account in full of the events in question, and has left the station without any charge being made against him by the police. At this time, there will be no further comment by Mr. Bale."

TMZ is claiming that the assault was VERBAL. Various outfits are reporting different things. Still waiting for the big picture.

What an idiot! Biggest movie of his career and he gets himself caught up in some stupid nonsense like this.

In England there is such a thing as verbal assault, Class 4 and Class 5. Class 4 is more aggravated than 5, with “an intent to cause alarm.”

Oh my god- who calls the police over a verbal arguement? If that's the case then it's sad that he has family who would put him through this and drag his name through the mud at such an exciting time in his life. When I get verbally "assaulted" I, uh, WALK AWAY! Geez.

When it comes to money, your family can turn against you. I give him a benefit of a doubt. There are crazy people out there.
This is what I heard: His mother and sister are big time druggies who showed up at his hotel room in the middle of the night for some money. When he refused to give them any money his mother started hitting him and he was forced to push them out of the door. They then were yelling outside of the door but he wouldn't come out... they then called the police and said they were assaulted.
And the game of "telephone" begins. Your version of what I posted earlier is a morphed version of what was originally printed online. Hilarious. The next thing we know they'll all be wearing clown suits.

Don't know if this is accurate or not, but I snipped this from another site: "His mom and sister are alcoholics and drug addicts, they showed up at his hotel uninvited and highly intoxicated. they were calling him big shot and that he needs to take care of his own. His sister was begging for money and when he was pushing her toward the door his mother came from behind and started hitting him on his head and kicking him. I believe that Chirstian is the victim here not his mom or sister A security guard at the hotel said it was a mess. His mom and sister wanted the front desk worker to let them into his room to wait for him. When they were told no they started cussing and yelling. they sat in front of his door for an hour until he finally arrived." Sounds plausible to me. Guess we'll find out more sooner or later.
This whole situation is very insulting to people who really HAVE been victims of familial domestic abuse. "Verbal assault" isn't the same as clocking someone with a frying pan or shoving someone against a wall. And, from what I've read, Christian's mother and sister are completely batshit (ha ha), and he was pretty justified in freaking out at them. They should be ashamed -- and charges should be pressed against THEM for wasting the time and resources of the police involved in this case. Christian's been in movies since puberty; I'll bet his mom is a totally monstrous stage parent. She and Dina should hang out.

Bale being a jerk may be new here but not new for some press and Batfans. If he can lashed out at his female fans its natural for him to do so for his mom and sister. Pathetic morons that defend a man with violent and anger management issues. Batman is sooo cursed.
Google "NY Post Christian Bale is a diva" article reports he is an Ahole while Russell Crowe turns out to be the good guy to the cast and crew during the 3:10 to Yuma film. Fans and crewmates prefer Hugh Jackman during the filming of Prestige and Depp's personality on Public Enemies.
See, I don't think he's a diva, people like you just like to believe everything and anything and spread it like a wild fire once you know it. I can SPECULATE that the reason he might act that way because he's a very serious actor, gets really into character and wants to remain focused. If you look at his line of work, all his characters he tries to play them as believable as he can. So, it might just be that he wants to stay in character and fans who swarm him just ruin the mood or atmosphere. We all know Bale is a hot piece of :)

weird most of his characters onscreen are brooding,intense and jerks. Must be so easy for him to portray because he's a jerk in real life. I wont be surprised he's also on drugs since he is buddies with one as in Ledger.
