The first thing Charla Krupp points out in her new beauty guide, How Not to Look Old: Fast and Effortless Ways to Look 10 Years Younger, 10 Pounds Lighter, 10 Times Better, is that “[a]ging sucks.” Aimed at women over forty, the book tackles typical age-related issues (spider veins, wrinkles, gray hair, you know the deal…) in a chatty, brutally honest approach. Think of it this way: The only other way you would get this information was if your tell-it-like-it-is best friend worked in the beauty business.
How Not to Look Old covers it all. Krupp points out mistakes concerning things like hair color, eyebrows, makeup, skincare, fashion, jewelry, and shapeware that make readers look OL (Krupp-talk for Old Lady.) After tearing you down for busting out the jack-o-lantern themed sweater every Halloween, though, she provides a multitude of doable solutions for the high-, medium-, and low-maintenance gal. Each chapter even includes a section with products Krupp has deemed “Brilliant Buys,” as well as an all-encompassing, city-by-city index of the best places to go for hair, makeup, sunless tanning, etc.
How Not to Look Old is a colorful, easy read for any woman
wanting to update her look. Krupp may be blunt at times, but only
because she cares. Follow her tips, tricks, and advice, and you’ll be
looking Y&H (read: Krupp-talk for Young And Hip) in no time.
Don’t have the time to trek through a 200-page book? I am not sure if this book is "interesting". I would guess NOT since the review was so ..... bland..... AND BORING! I found myself EXTREMELY bored while reading this.......
I agree with the first passerby! i read a tiny bit, (didn't finish since it was a boring review).
the only interesting thing about this review was something that was taken from the book so i highly doubt the book was boring ladies, just the review!!!
bitter woman i tell ya
I might flip through it, but I don't know how seriously I can listen to her, when she has those veneers that make her look ten years older, her looks screams "OL" trying too hard... I would guess her to be 58, with botox, bottle blonde, and veneers that look like chicklets. Not a good look with her message. She should try taking her own advice, less eyeliner, less "Pam Anderson" hair color, soften it, and is there an equivalent for tanorexic with teeth whitening? Fake lashes are for night time, or tranny's.
what is so bad with aging? it used to be that the elderly were respected and considered wise. women can be beautiful while aging and not try to look younger all the time. why not look good at the age you're at? that way it teachers the younger women to accept the aging process and accept themselves and how they look as they go through it.
People still think I'm in like, highschool, when really I'm going into 4th year. Not gona need this for a while!!
i just threw out all my nude stockings!!
