Whoopi Goldberg has been around the block a time or two...she recently admitted on The View that she's had 50 lovers in her lifetime!
She flashed the number of lovers she has had in her life — a feat that
required using both of her hands and her feet. Turns out she's had
"about 50. "It doesn't
matter how many people you've been with in your life," Whoopi said,
throwing it to commercial. "It's who you stick with."
That sounds like a lot, and I guess I should be shocked, but I'm really not. In this day and age, what would be a so-called normal number of lovers?

I actually know a woman that has about 500 and no she is not a hooker. She is 55 yrs old now and finally settled down 7 yrs ago.
That is hard to believe, she is one ugly looking women.
50 seems like a lot but if you stretch it out over 30 years it's not even two a year and she "is" over 50. It's different now though. Condoms don't always protect you against stuff like herpes and AIDS or even chlamydia. It was different back in the day when all we had to worry about was Syph and Gon and the boys. I think it would be fun to be single and sleep with different guys - just a thought.....

I just had this discussion with a guy at work. He was talking about that Janka dude (I use another not so affectionate word but not safe for here, still starts with a "d") 120+ and co-worker said that he wouldn't sleep with a girl that had more than 10 at the age of 30 or so. I am 26, and though not too close to 10, I think Whoppi is right. 10, 20, 50, doesn't make you "easy" or "promiscuous". If you are a sexually active (relatively, not one night stands every weekend), respect yourself, dating regularly you number likely wont be 10 if you are 35 unless all your relationships are long-term, 2 years plus.

I don't think that's too bad, I have been active since I was 18 (I'm 21 now) and have had 4 partners. That's a little over 1 a year.
50 is a little high, but nothing extreme.
I'm 22 - I've been having sex since I was 16 (that's 6 years) and I'm at 9.

I am 24 and I have been with 6 men. I started WAY too early though, I was 14. I dont regret it, but I wouldnt want anyone I care about to do it that young. I think that like most ppl have said here...50 isnt "a lot." Especially at her age. I wouldnt want to be up to 50 men, ever...but to each their own. If you are safe and clean...shoot...get your groove on!

But don't let some stupid number dictate your future endeavors, just be safe. that is the most important thing!
having 50 lovers is not respecting your body. when you have sex with someone, you are actually having sex with all of the partners he's had sex with for the last 10 years. That alone, can cause cervical cancer.

Just because someone's slept with 50 people doesn't mean she doesn't respect her body. That's implying that she's being taken advantage of every time she has sex. Having 50 partners will not give you cervical cancer. Having unprotected sex with someone infected with certain strains of HPV can lead to cancer, and that only takes one encounter. I can respect that you feel your body is sacred but making blanket statements like that can come off very judgemental.
What the hell is this world coming to? Did we really need to know that Whoopi has had 50 lovers? Could you imagine if Dinah Shore would have announced that on her talk show?!! Wow! Times certainly have changed, and in this case, definitely NOT for the better.
