Spinner.com and AOL Radio have created the top ten WORST songs of all time. How Celine Dion got on this list is beyond me... but here we go:

4. Barbie Girl - Aqua

6. I Am Woman - Helen Redey

8. Ebony And Ivory - Paul McCartney And Stevie Wonder
9. Macarena - Los Del Rio
10. My Heart Will Go On - Celine Dion
So, what do we think? Deserving? I mean... Stevie Wonder?! Marky Mark is safe from AOL Radio, but they throw Stevie Wonder under the bus?

What's wrong with #10? Does anyone NOT remember "I shot the sherriff", I think it was sung by Bob Marley. That should be on the list, or "Tear the roof off the sucker" by Parliament. Trust me I can think of more.

Celine should be on EVERY worst list for ANY possible reason. Sure. Hell, keep her there. I'd rather listen to "You Can't Touch This" 884 times in a row than the warblings of that screechy chicken-faced harpy. I hearby nominate "The Electric Slide" AND "The Cha-Cha" song. I've attended WAAAAY too many weddings with crappy DJ's over the past few years, and I detest both those tunes. That "Me and You" song by Cassie is horrid. Anything by Nicklebag, Daughtry, Three Doors Down, or anything else fitting into the genre that I like to call, ahem, C**k Rock. And ANYthing by Akon is more moronic than ANYthing Vanilla Ice ever crapped out. Oh, and "I Would Do Anything For Love, But I Won't Do That" by Meatloaf and Bonnie Tyler is godawful. And, I'm sorry, but speaking of Bonnie Tyler -- and I know many will disagree -- but "Total Eclipse of the Heart" can suck it. I loathe that song.

Bonnie Tyler doesn't sing "I would do anything for love." She does use that line in her song "Getting so excited."

You're totally right -- I just googled it. Love that you know her other songs! :-) I'm not poking fun, I promise. "Getting So Excited" reminds me of another questionable song I love: "I'm So Excited," by the Pointer Sisters.

I like "I Am Woman" for the following lyrics: "...and I am just an embryo/with a long, long way to go." Poetic freakin' genius!
It is interesting that the song "I am Woman", by Helen Reddy (correct spelling) makes it onto this list. Released in 1972 at the height of the Women's Movement, this song attained an almost anthem-like status. It is certainly a song which reflected the feelings and attitudes of many women at the time, and cannot be divorced from the context in which it was written. These lists are just the personal opinions of a particular group of people. Of course, a feminist song would be ripe for such a list, particularly if those making the choices are predominantly male. I would also be interested in knowing their average age, and if they even have a concept of the battles women faced back then to be taken seriously. It seems women still do have "a long, long way to go", judging by the fact that "I am Woman" made this list, because as we all know, feminists are just a bunch of sexually frustrated, ugly, fat women who can't get a man... Or am I just becoming cynical?

Celine can't sing, simple as that. I don't get why people pay exorbitant sums to listen to her screaming. If I hear a rock song, I don't expect anything special, but that woman has no singing technique.

I think she can sing, it's just that her songs suck. They're boring as hell.
You must not be a singer or know anything about singing.
Fact is, she is an excellent singer, whether you can accept that or not. It is not a matter of opinion on whether she can sing, it's a matter of opinion on if you like it.

I thought Ebony and Ivory was Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson, not Stevie Wonder. I think the song was just annoying and the video was worse.
I think 'My Heart Will Go On' is on the list just because of how much it was played because of Titanic.

"We Built This City" by Starship is god awful. That should have been the number 1 worst song of all time. Also, anything by James Blunt, Britney Spears and all the boy bands.

Starship sucks precisely because they used to be the Jefferson Airplane -- who were BADASS. I won't lie, though. If "We Built this City" comes on the radio, I WILL listen to it, and I also know every single goddamn word. I'll give you James Blunt. He completely lacks a pair of testicles. But come on, now. You won't secretly get down to some Britney? :-)

Yes, that's precisely why Starship sucked major a$$ with their song because it was crap compared to their 70s stuff. It was an embarassment to 80s music through and through. And nope, I refuse to get down to some Britney. She can't sing for the life of her. Hearing that nasal voice of hears is the equivalent to hearing nails being dragged down a chalkboard.

That's THE stupidest list ever. All wrong... some of those songs are actually good and people like them. How about "Soulja Boy?" Where the eff is THAT song on this list? It makes me sick every time I hear it.

Just hearing the beginning is like nails on a chalk board! The funny part is most of those songs were HUGE hits and sold a ton of records - where was this list when soft rock radio had My Heart Will Go On rotating five times an hour???
I'd honestly be too scared to put Ice Ice Baby on the list if I was whoever made it...I'd be afraid he might show up on my lawn at three in the morning with a baseball bat in a fit of rage! :P
