Heath Ledger To Be Honored With Chess Board At Restaurant

The New York restaurant Heath Ledger was planning on investing in before he died will pay tribute to the actor in the form of a chess board.
Brightside owner Jud Mongell, said the chess board will be known as Heath's table because he used to love the game. Patrons can come and enjoy their lunch while playing chess in Heath's honor.
"Heath was a big chess player. The whole idea was to make it a spot for us. We wanted to make it our own space to hang out."
Jud says the opening will be bittersweet because Heath won't be around to see it.
"Heath was very, very into it. He drew the floor plans and thought of the name, BrightSide, because it's on the bright side of McCarren Park."

So sad.
That is rather gimmicky, but everyone has to make a buck off of Heath's death right!
Vera just said that Heath made the floor plans, created the restaraunts name, ect. This was to be part Heath's restaraunt. they are simply finishing it how he designed adn paying TRIBUTE to Heath! jeeez!

"Bittersweet" is exactly how I feel about the success of the Dark Knight. Heath had a name in the business but I think his career would have exploded after this film. I know that some people feel that the movie is so big because of his death, but there was alot of talk about his performance before his death happened. If it is because of his death, then that movie (can't remember the name) he was actually making at the time of his death should shoot through the roof. I'm not sure that it is someone making a buck off of him. I think it is nice to acknowledge him with one of the things he loved to do.
Awe bless thier hearts!
