Can We Talk About The Big Foot Conference?

Can We Talk About The Big Foot Conference?

It isn't dying down... the buzz about the body they found in the forest that they are claiming is/was Big Foot. I mean, is this for real? And if this IS for real, I will quote the National Enquirer over People until the end of time. :)

Who's next? Wolf Boy? The alien with three heads? Rosemary's baby? Elvis? I can't handle this!!!

Two Northern California men
and two Georgians say they've got a body, a photo and DNA evidence
pertaining to the elusive forest-dwelling man-ape — and that they'll
reveal all at a press conference in Palo Alto, Calif., on Friday.

"I
think you'll find that this is the real deal," Robert Barrows of
Redwood City, Calif., told the Bay City News local wire service.

I'm joking... I think. I mean I KNOW it isn't real. But I'm just thinking about how life altering it would be if it was.

Thankfully, Boing Boing is claiming that the whole mess is a hoax concocted by two Georgian men who are known for this sort of thing. I say thankfully because they seem to be the only outfit reporting this.

But why then is this press conference still a go? And why Friday? Why is everything going to happen on Friday? Meanwhile, if you don't want to wait for the Britney Spears magazine interview, it's online here

Click here to see the actual picture of "Big Foot". Did I just write that? LOL

Ok I am going to look like a total tard right now, but I have a lot of family up in the oregon mountains and they ALL say that bigfoot is 100% real. And no they are not some crazy backwoods folk, they are genuinely sane people. And if you think about it, look at how many people have seen or come into contact with one! My family included! I wouldnt be suprised if someone has finally caught one (or found a body).

Being an Oregonian myself, (yet have not seen one) I tend to believe this true too. It is also hard to dispel the fact that for years, native people have seen this creature, but call it by different names such as "hairy man".

This is sooo X-Files - yahoo! I'd love for something like this to be true.
Part of me is kind of thinking the press conference won't happen or "someone" will set it up to make it look like these two are a couple of pranksters so "they" can take the body and study it, then later on take the credit for discovering a new species of mammal (I'm a bit of a conspiracy nut).
Okay, that aside, if you think about it, there are a lot of animals that haven't evolved too terribly much since prehistoric times. Look at the crocodile. Those bastards have been around forever (NOT a reptile lover here).
I mean, IF you belive we evolved from monkeys (and monkeys still exist), whose to say not all of us finished the process? Big Foot might just be a man - mid evolution from monkey to caveman...essentially a big, hairy, humanoid living in seclusion as an animal.
I have done absolutely NO fact searching on Big Foot theories, I'm completely pulling this out of my arse....BUT, you just never know.
Fascinating I say! And a FUN topic as well!

I actually have an uncle who spent his entire life tracking bigfoot. No joke.

That picture (the one of Bigfoot in the ice box) looks so fake, like a big fake gorilla costume.

How about UFOs? Look up the Disclosure Project and all of the high ranking government and military officials whose names and statements are attached to it and see what you think. www.disclosureproject.org and http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=-5980990221766439646

Kind of scary, really...

Yeah . . . I used to believe without question what we are all told (manipulated?) to believe: that it's ridiculous to believe the stories, people are just making things up, or thinking they're seeing something that they're not, or that they're mistaking secret military projects for UFOs. I started questioning that about ten years ago, and it's amazing the way a person can change his/her opinion once they open up their mind to make their own decisions based on the evidence at hand. The Disclosure Project was the clincher for me. That, and the video feed from NASA. :)

Am I the only one who heard about this guy who first discovered Big Foot or had a famous photo taken of Bigfoot? On his deathbed (it was either this past year, or a year or two ago), he admitted that Bigfoot was a hoax.

My husband is 100% convinced that they're going to have proof of Bigfoot, but I still think they're full of it. I told him next they're going to have solid proof of Loch Ness, Aliens, and probably the tooth fairy, too! LOL

While I believe this particular time it is a hoax(because they aren't even showing the body at the conference) I do believe that sasquach is out there. Living in Washington I've heard a lot. Some of it hoax. Some of it not. You know it's real when a friend of yours saw it and that specific friend isn't really capable of making up anything. It's obviously out there but smart enough to stay away from us. Why else would we have not found it already. The problem is any of them in between here and oregon are in large forest areas. There are SOOOOO many places for them to hide here where no one would ever find them. But I think we should just leave well enough alone, they obviously don't want to be discovered because they may know that that would probably kill half of them. We have weapons and we've put enough chemicals in the air...they obviously know that the saest place for them is as far away from humans as possible. I wish I were that smart, lol.

Hmmm it's after the promised 12noon "press conference" time - yet this is not reported in any online media that I can find.
And did anyone explore the page that Vera linked in the story? If you go to the "real" home page, there is a link where you can go to paypal to pay $1 to see the rest of the photos.
Pffft. yeah right.
REAL scientists and researchers don't make people pay to see the REAL published results. I can only imagine how many people have actually donated the $1, and what is on the other side of that link. Prolly a whole lot of nothin'!!!!
Hey maybe the next Indiana Jones movie can be about finding Bigfoot!! lol
