Nicollette Sheridan And Michael Bolton End Their Engagement

Oh no! I really had high hopes for these two. Sadly enough, Nicollette Sheridan and Michael Bolton have called it quits. Nicollette's rep has already given a confirmation so there is no turning back.

"Nicollette Sheridan and Michael Bolton have amicably ended their
engagement. They appreciate your respect for their
privacy in this matter."

I really liked these two together... especially with the whole playing Scrabble together since the early 90s thing they had going.

I knew they wouldn't last. Their engagement was way too long. Too bad, I thought they were so in love. :(

A non sarcastic question - if they wouldnt last because they had a long engagement then how do you explain people who meet and within a year or 2 are married and then divorced? Whats the rationale there? Is there a special amount of years that you are guaranteed not to split?

Maybe because they had dated for several years previously, and supposedly were finally ready to marry their true love after they got back together? To me it seemed like they were in no rush to get married this time around. If I had reunited with my true love (or who I felt was my true love) there would be no reason to wait to walk down the aisle. Who knows? I know couples who dated or were engaged long versus short periods of time, lived together first versus not, eloped versus had huge, expensive weddings...and you know what? Some of these couples stayed together, some didn't. So it's a mystery to me! :)

Thank you for replying ! I have to say not everyone wants to rush to the alter for one reason or the other. Mine would be I cant decide on the style of wedding I want and just dont want to plan the whole thing. I did consider beginning the planning process about a month ago and ended up not being able to go to sleep all nite freaking out over the whole "do". Does that mean I dont want to be a Mrs? Nope not at all. When I think of growing old its with the guy I am with. We have been engaged for almost 5 years and living together for 12 years before that. My parents are still alive and married for 54 years so I hope to be like them, even if its not with a "piece of paper".

Amy, I agree with you. I posted months ago on INO about these two. I said they would never marry and their engagement was fake. I recall Nicolette giving these half-assed answers whenever she was asked when was the wedding. I had this feeling these two would never get married, and Michael was just wasting his time. It was all a publicity stunt for Nicolette. This woman is too much in love with herself to marry anyone.

Her face has gotten so unnatural looking. She's not that old either. She just looks horrible. Oh back, to her and Michael Bolton, I didn't think they'd last either.

if they wanted their privacy, why did they announce in the first place???
I hope Peanut is ok!! LOL!!

I dont like her but I want more rela. and marriages to last in this world.

Wow. She looks more like 54 in that close-up. But ya, too bad about their split. Not many couples stay together anymore and I honestly wonder why so many bother to get married. We're celebrating our 30th next year and have NO married friend couples left that we started out with. People just give up and think the grass is greener on the other side, but it's not. I wouldn't trade the comfort level of my long term relationship with my husband for anything else in the world. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt I could trust him with my very life. Makes me glad I'm not so young anymore. And for the record, I'm not even 50 yet.

Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free? He was never into her too deep anyhow. I always felt that she chased after him like a crazy woman and he felt he could take her or leave her.

I hope she can find the strength to move on and find someone who'll love her for more than hot sex.

BTW, she's looking quite drained lately. I hope she's not sick or anything.

I have to say the timing is a little close to the beginning of the new season, considering I haven't seen any photos of them together recently.

Long engagements never last. It just means that someone is not really wanting to get married. If they were really in love and apart for all those years they would have wanted to tie the knot right away or not at all. It always comes down to shitting or getting off the pot, marriage is kind of a joke anyways these days. People live so much longer now and lots of people do not want kids these days so marriage is slowly but surly taking a back seat to just living your life.

He said he loved her, but he lied. NOW she wants to know how is she suppose to live without him?? She probably misses him because he was her SOUL PROVIDER. BUT you have to think of it this way...How can they be lovers if they can't be friends?
How will she be able to cope with the breakup. We all know that one of the stages of a breakup involves listening to music. How is she gonna get over him when he has the most awesomest break up songs ever!!
I couldn't resist

That was almost a direct quote from one of those other celeb gossip sites. Brilliant.

I think Michael deserved someone much better than Nicollette. She just looked too sluttish for me; always going around in bikini's showing everything she had in public, and even licking his toes! How sickening can you get? Michael, you need a good girl with morals! You deserve better. Such a handsome man! Good luck Michael! I love your songs.
