Britney Spears Will Open At MTV Vide Music Awards

The MTV network has confirmed that Britney Spears will once again kick off the MTV Video Music Awards. Though it will not be a performance, it will be something "fun and unexpected". Britney released a statement sayin:
"MTV has long played an important role in my career. How can I not be there to kick off their 25th VMAs? I'm excited to open the entire show, to say hi to my fans and to be nominated"
Since Britney is such a ratings booster, what do you think about Britney opening? Does this news change the likelihood of you watching the program? Is anyone else really excited?

IM SO EXCITED! after every tabloid sayin she is performing to she isnt and the statement from her manager i was loosing all hope and was seriously going to pen down exactly what i thought adn send it to the mtv execs!! i was so shocked and saddened that she wasnt going to be aprt of the mtv i nearly swore of mtv altogetehr, but now they have totally redeemed themselves!!! let me hear u say whoop whoop *whoop whoop*..................with kisses from the CandyQueen
well i am curious to see what it is she'll be doing since she won't technically be "performing" anything, but I probably won't end up watching it when it airs.. main reason being that MTV will be airing the show non-stop for the next 355646457239 days after-the-fact.. plus i'm sure it'll end up on youtube or some other site so i'm not too worried about missing it.. :D

I am SUPER excited!!!! I think she's going to do it this year...she messed it up last year, but I really really hope she hits a homerun this year! I love her and have always rooted for her.

I'm way too old to watch the MTV awards for any reason other than Britney. That being said, I'm there (at least for the beginning haha)!
I was excited last year and was TOTALLY dissappointed, so I'm not getting my hopes up this year!
It'll be cool to just see here there. She doesn't need to perform, she may realize that she still needs time to get back to her A-game in that department. But I'm sure she's going to do something really cool. I'll definitely be watching. I love Britney and I hope she FINALLY wins a moonman this year!!!!
I think Britney has really risen above all of the bullshiitt out there and pulled herself together, maybe with the help of some mood stabilizers that would help a person with Bipolar Disorder, as Britney definitely appears to exhibit several symptoms of being a manic depressive. Whatever. It doesn't matter, she is back - and bigger and better this time.. I mean that talent wise, not body wise. Oh yes, she just lost some weight and she looks so good, even better than she looked before - probably due to giving birth and having her body change form - but for the better (However I lost more weight than Britney Spears! I heard she lost about 15 pounds. Well, I lost 25 pounds, and if you happen to see my pic with the black shirt and pants, as my avatar, I am actually 25 lbs thinner than that pic shows... Anyway, I hope she performs one of her older songs!! ~ SuzyQ ~
the best part of the VMA's was Kanye West's performance at the end... the worst part was the host (what's with the accent?)
