Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt served up tacos to hungry drive-thru patrons in a Los Angeles Taco Bell. The twosome have teamed up with Taco Bell in an effort to raise awarness of global hunger.
It's nice to see them using their celebrity and staged photo ops to create awareness for a good cause, rather than to promote themselves.

I'm remembering back a couple of years ago when people were encouraged to boycott Taco Bell because the FL farm workers who grew their tomatoes were being paid next to nothing and living below the poverty line. I hope that's been resolved.
And let's talk meat. Anyone's who has read Fast Food Nation or seen the movie is aware of the appalling treatment of the animals and the gruesome working conditions for employees working in meat packing plants. This reality is true for Taco Bell and ALL fast food joints.
So, while it might be in vogue for business to espouse their concern for lofty humanitarian goals such as world hunger, the whole thing really pales when you compare it to the harm they inflict on people and animals. The areas where they could have a true impact....they choose not to.
On a lighter note, when Heidi and Spencer make a contribution away from the cameras I'll buy them as upstanding folks with a strong social conscience. Until then, they're still shameless self-promoting attention whores!!
Seriously, Could Heidi get any uglier? I'm sorry but she is no phony and annoying, and looks like s*** after all of her surgery. She packs on so much make-up her skin looks like a road map (bump, bump, etc.).

I agree with anonymous @ 1:09. I mean, of course it is a good thing that they support this program, but to start with it would be so much better to get their own supply chain and all it's components ethically right. This seems to be the biggest problem of the american fast food industry. In other news, at first glance I thought heidi's outfit was alright (ok maybe shorts are a hint too short..) until I saw her shoes... super ugly IMO!
