i just wanted to say that ive been reading your blog for about 2 years now and i LOVE it!!! youre doing such a good job with it and its part of my morning ritual to read your blog while i have my first coffee. im german and i live in germany but i went to school in the u.s. and i get so "homesick" sometimes. reading your blog makes me feel better, its my daily american fix :-)
so please vera, whenever you have doubts about continuing with this site, please know that people all over the world are LOVING what you do and really appreciate it.

The fact that these people even take the time to send you negative messages is showing you that they are jealous. Jealous that you have a career, a home and a successful website. I would not even respond to those people. Focus on the ++++++++ - I am sure they outweigh the negatives by 1,000,000.

Honestly Vera, you need to ignore those kinds of people. I know its really hard to hear negative things about something you produce, something that is all you, but they mean nothing. Your site is awesome, its fun, you clearly care about it, you're always kind in your posts, you don't spread negativity in the slightest and you should be really proud with how its grown over the last few years. There is always going to be that negative person out there that needs to try to bring someone else down because for some odd reason it makes them feel better. But you shouldn't let them get to you, they win if you do and you don't want that. Hey, if you want me to give them a talking to, just let me know!

You can vent any time. You're polite and smiling even when you're venting! And that's one of the reasons we love ya :)

You nailed Vera, who are these people? Toxic people who are jealous, and what ever is bothering them about themselves, probably failure, lash out at you because it is safe for them. I am telling you, read "Tripping the Prom Queen", it made such a difference in my life. Ignore the toxic people. And it is your site. Delete the crap. Don't read further than a line into it, that is time you can't get back. You need to care what YOU think about what you do, then your family, and what they think, and the others, they can like it or not, but who cares? If they like it great, if not, great, let them do their thing, but you don't have to waste precious moments of your life on it. Seriously, delete the negative toxic things in your life and you will be happier for it. This isn't jr high anymore, you matter to you! Don't waste time with the toxic anonymous trolls who like to stir trouble then sit back and watch. My favorite Kevin Smith scene is when the characters seek out the trolls, (they are all loser kids in the parents basements) and punch them out for making rude remarks online!

Oh Vera! So sorry to hear that you get e-mails like that! You do such an amazing job with your site! Love the videos too! You have guts, putting yourself out there like that. It's inspiring!

Why don't you just make commenting for members, then no one can leave an anonymous comment without logging in.
They are just people who are bored, looking for some reaction from you, so they can pick on you even more, schoolyard bullis like BigDaddy, he is probably a small daddy and has to compensate for it by pissing normal people off.
So what if they don't like your site and think you are an idiot, they don't know you. They choose to visit your site so there must be something good about it, right?

Vera I have emailed you before to say "Thank You" for bringing great entertainment with a positive touch. You never write anything mean spirited and always keep things positive (even if it's a negative topic). My dad always told me to turn every negative into a positive. I think your analogy about the dress comment sums it up though. When you work so hard on something and others come along and bash on you for no reason...well that can most certainly hit home. Just remember that your worth is not defined or even altered by the few negative mean spirited comments some may say. You have so many many many people (like me) that visit your blog on a regular basis and respect you and the work that you do to bring us good entertainment. So sorry for seeing this late, Vera. I think everyone above have written such great and positive things that I may not be able to top them, but what I can add to it is my personal experience with your blog.. I have suffered with life and all its ailments and problems and even on days when I didn't shower, or didn't read the papers or didn't do the dishes, I would still log in and read I'm Not Obsessed. I can't tell you how many times I have sought comfort in your words even though it's celebs that you write about. It makes me feel better to read something written in such elegant words, such eloquence. I mean even when celebs wear something atrocious, you don't mop the floor with them the way other blogs do, you leave it to us to decide whether we love it or hate it. How classy is that? I mean, I don't need to meet you in person to know that you are just as classy, elegant and polite in person.And to all those who attack you, listen dear, they are just jealous and are releasing their insecurities on you which is something you need to just smile at and ignore, even when it feels too hard. Think of how small and desperate they are that they resort to insulting someone they don't even know in order for them to feel better about themselves. You are so beautiful... and I am on your team dear. Please don't quit and do feel free to vent anytime you feel like it... We all need to vent every now and then...
