Tom Cruise And Suri Out For Ice Cream
Ok, I've officially figured it out... I think.
It must be about the flashing bulbs at night. That is the reason why Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes sometimes hide Suri's face and other times don't. The inconsistency must be because they only hide her face when the bulbs can hurt her eyes. It is a little scary and shocking - even for an adult - to walk out of a building and then get bombarded with the photographers and their flashes. Now imagine a little child having to go through with it. Does that make sense?
Over the weekend, Tom took his little princess for ice cream at Sundaes and Cones in Manhattan. I just love old fashion ice cream parlors! We used to have one in my old town growing up and I had countless birthday parties there. Now, they are just so hard to find!

Maybe they leave her bangs long and covering her eyes to provide some protection from the flashing bulbs.

It was an ad between the posts. Not an obvious "we're Scientoloy"-ad, a picture of a woman who looked upset and it said something like "you can do something about it", really suspicious, so I clicked on it an it was one of those typical Scientology websites where you have to scroll to the bottom and in tiny letters it read that this was a Scientology site. This is a cult, and ads like this proove it. They obviouslly try to decoy "weak" people with problems without mentioning that they're Scientology until it's too late.
I know there's not much Vera can do about it, but I found it disturbing to find such an ad on an otherwise so family friendly site like INO. So I wanted to mention that.

If that is what the deal is then the paps need to go back to photography class because that means they are just putting that stuff on auto!!!
I have never seen Tom and Katie cover Suri's face. Suri is the one who puts her head down and cover her ears. It has nothing to do with night and day. It's about the crowds. When their are dozens of spectators and paparazzi she's obviously scared and bothered by the noise. It doesn't look like there is too many people around so she's not hiding. Just look at a bunch of pictures of Suri. It's clear that she's afraid of crowds, especially when they are yelling and taking pictures.
I passed RIGHT by them yesterday on Broadway and 11th street. I saw someone that looked like Tom Cruise and I thought it was funny, literally walked one foot in front of him to get by, he and suri had two body guards around them and people were off on the side looking at them. When I realized it was them I turned around for a second or two to look.
I heard her say: "Daddy, what is he doing?"
He said: "He is getting money out of the machine." and he crouched down next to her.
It was cute. I rarely have celeb sitings so it was cool!

What really bothers me is that she always wears those dresses. Katie and Tom wear long sleeves and long pants and poor Suri is wearing summer dresses. I'm getting cold just by looking at the pictures. Would someone please get some pants and a sweater for her???

Why do they have to take the poor kid out at all way past her bedtime? It's about them, not about their kid, otherwise they'd put her needs first, regular sleep, no paparazzi intrusion, playdates with other kids, clothing that is appropriate for the season and for playing in. I can't remember having seen Matilda Ledger out at night on a regular schedule, or Kingston Rossdale, or Violet Affleck or Isabella Damon - but their parents come across as more or less normal, compared to those two crazy $cientos here.

She may not like wearing a coat. We very rarely see her in one. My son was the same way...and still is. It could be 30 degrees outside and he would fight me to wear a coat because it made him too hot. And he literally had an allergy to body heat (heat urticaria or cholinergic urticaria). If he got too warm, he would break out in hives. Just because she's not wearing a coat doesn't mean they haven't tried to put one on her.
MAYBE SHE DOES NOT LIKE COATS, THAT IS WHY THEY HAVE BLANKETS ALL THE TIME. I KNOW MY SON HATES TO WEAR A COAT, EVAN IN THE WINTER.

its amazing that they have suri out like that without even a sweater...i also live in the city and yesterday was a bit chilly even for my two kids who said it was cold.....and i've had my opinions of suri.....i even think that she may be a bit autistic or something like that.....all the other kids look and behave normal around the paps (day or night) but suri always have this different look to her...i may be wrong (and i hope i am). and tom doesn't look all that happy...when he's sitting down with her he looks like he's reprimanding her or something.....i actually feel sorry for suri and i hope she grows up to be a happy child.
what's up with those bangs....they bother MY eyes everything time i see her.....you know you can just make a call and have someone come right to your place and cut your childs hair...god only knows you have money to do things like that....if not then grab a scissor and do it yourself!!! please for the love of G*d!!

As someone who can't stand camera flash because of my migraines..I just can't imagine how they deal with that. I seriously see the flash in my eyes for a VERY long time after..and that's just ONE camera. Imagine a ton of cameras at once. Ack. It hurts my poor eyes just thinking about it.

Does anyone find it strange that Tom and Katie always have on long sleeves, sweaters, pants, etc and Suri is dressed for summer time?
i am amazed that there are so many TomKat sympathizers out there. They are clearly the worst parents out there and baby Suri is going to end up in a nuthouse before she is 12.

Yeah, right! Isn't it amazing how many people here know so much better than the parents of Suri? I wonder how all of you would react if other people told you how to dress your child, when to take her out, when to put her to bed and other things. And we have a psychologist here too, who thinks that Suri will be a nutcase by the time she's 12 ;-) LOL! I love Suri's dress and I'm sure she has enough brain cells to tell her parents when she's cold!
