Britney Spears Driving Case Dismissed

Britney Spears can breathe a sigh of relief. The driving without a valid license charges brought against her have been dropped after the jury deadlocked on the case earlier this week. It is not known whether the prosecutor will retry the case against Spears, but at least she will be able to breathe a little easier now.
What do you think? Do you agree with the outcome or is this just another case of celebrity justice?

All I'm saying is that I think everybody should be treated the same. No preferential treatment for stars or elected officials or any body. Maybe a jury trial was a bit much, but if that is the way everyone is treated for that particular offense in LA, then who am I to judge their laws. I'm sure they have them set up that way for a reason. Since I have always been a law abiding citizen, I don't have a clue what the retribution is for that same offense in my state, I'm sure it's at least a fine but I am too lazy to look it up at the moment. I just have never liked seeing celebrities getting away with things just because of who they are. I don't think they are that special. And to say Brit has had hard times and is trying to get her life back so she should be given a break. Fine but then give the breaks to everyone who has hit hard times. No one is above the law.
I think it's just incredibly stupid that this whole thing went to court. I mean, over something that could've been handled in a much more low-key way, they really blew it way out of proportion. But that's just my opinion. Oh well, it's all over so I hope she can just get back to living her life and being happy. Hopefully the stress of this trial is no longer on her chest. Let's see some hot performances Brit!
Soooooo, agree! Waste of taxpayers money. A fine should have taken care of it. They made a mountain out of a mole hill.

A driving without a valid license offense had a jury? Seriously? That seems crazy. Here they'd just give them a fine and that'd be about it. Weird.

I agree with everybody above!! I was several years into my 20's before I knew you needed to transfer you license from a different state. I was just waiting on it to expire then go get a new one.

Oh for crying out loud...that whole "trial" thing was completely retarded. Especially since she has a VALID Louisiana drivers license. It's not like she was driving on a suspended license. Give her a fine and be done with it.

agreed. a fine, or even a warning telling her she had to get a valid california license within 30 days.

That whole thing was stupid. They should've just fined her in the first place and then it would've all gone away. What a waste of time/taxpayer money.
I say just give the girl a break already. I really don't think this has to do with celebrity justice. It was a ridiculous claim in the 1st place if you ask me.
i agree w/ this outcome an invalid license isnt as big a deal as murderers abusive parents/guardians i mean GET REAL!!!!!! JAIL IS 4 CRIMINALS!!!! NOT BRITNEY SPEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!!
