Don't Forget To Vote!

Don't Forget To Vote!

This is it! The day we've all been waiting for. You have NO IDEA how hard it's been to avoid writing about this - especially since I am so heavily one sided. I've avoided all the pictures / stories that related to politics because this is after all a gossip site and I didn't want to add to the media circus that has become this year's election.

But today is the day. The day you close that curtain and make your choice. Whichever it is, as long as it is an informed decision - we are all good to go.

Good luck to everyone and happy voting!

As someone who, most likely, is voting the opposite of you, I am very thankful and appreciative that you've kept the political stuff off this website. Thank you so much.

I too am grateful you have kept politics off of your site. I refuse to read Perez anymore because of that fact. You have dropped a few hints here and there, so I know who you are voting for. Thanks again for not making it too obvious.

I'm from Canada but I do hope you all vote for a change. We Canadians are affected by your decisions more than u think. I hope all you Mavericks go vote for Obama of course. GO OBAMA GO!!!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said:

Thanks for keeping politics off the website. I don't read Perez anymore either because of his views which are conflicting with my own. I am almost positive you would be voting for Obama since you work closely with Hollywood! But, I may be wrong! With that said-everyone get out and vote!

Anonymous Anonymous said:

I would assume Barack Obama...I hope not!

Anonymous Anonymous said:

Its obvious you are a Republican. Otherwise you would have taken the opportunity to post celebrities wearing Obama shirts or participating for his campaign. You never once showed a celebrity in his gear which leads me to believe you are not in favor of Obama.

All I have to say is just go out and vote. Vote for the person who you see could run this country for 4 years. Both Obama and McCain have good ideas.....and some bad ones too. Vote for the person who you think has the experience to run the country and to run it well. Don't look at their skin color or the age when choosing who to vote for. Look at their character, their experience, their policies, etc. You don't have to agree with 100% of what they say....just vote for the one who you agree with more.

ps. Thanks for keeping politics off your site....its very refreshing :)

Go M!

you have been fooled into thinking you are exercising your constitutional rights. Don't you see this is all a game. Both candidates are strawman, they decide nothing.

That's different than saying your vote doesn't count. It is a game. But it's not as if all the voting is in vain. Even though the electoral college ultimately decides who wins, every vote is analyzed by so many people. If apathy prevails, everything will ALWAYS remain the same. All the elections will be decided before they happen, this state red, and that one blue. Forever and ever. Jeebus.

people are so foolish to think Obama is better than McCain. They are both pretty bad, only one is charismatic and another one is not. Protest and do not vote for puppets.

Obama will win, then we get a couple of years of good life, and then we will be turning into socialist nation, and when everybosy's radar is off, we will became enslaved by the powerful of this world and then only thing you will do is to work for them , to make sure you are useful to them and the elite will reign. Why are people such fools and belive what they are being said without questiong anything. Did this peppets talked to you about North American Union that is being crafted under a veil of secrecy? You think so cialism is good, then wait until you become nothing, just a zombified shell. Say NO to Obama say NO to McCain

Anonymous Anonymous said:

Yeah for socialism!! It works everywhere else. Oh wait...

Anonymous Anonymous said:

you are an idiot. it only works when everybody else is poor. I have already been through this in my life. It is a gray existance. It works for those who I call shells.

I love Perez. and his website is not just about celebrity gossip. its about his interests - music, politics, fashion, human rights and equality. its his website all about his opinions, ideas and interests. and is he wants to pay out sarah palin - good on him! clearly, the woman is a moron!

glad to see obama win :)

Pogue Mahone Pogue Mahone said:

From an outside/non-American perspective I see Obama's popularity as more of the cult of personality thing but his politics are waaayyy too ultra-liberal for my own personal taste. As for McCain, I admire his pro-life, pro-family,and pro-faith stance, but do not agree with the war in Iraq. As for Palin, I like her and admire her strong faith and courage to stand up for moral values and for what she believes in.

I sent in my absentee ballot a couple weeks ago. This is my first time voting so I'm very happy for myself. I didn't vote in the last election because I didn't register in time (I had just turned 18) and honestly didn't have a huge opinion either way. I am very active with one of the candidates this year so I'm a nervous wreck... I can't wait till results start coming out (or maybe I can because I don't want to have a break down lol).

Being a Costa Rican I can definitely relate to today's importance, however I cannot understand the Electoral College and electoral vote system. In our beautiful democracy we get up on a Sunday and exercise our right, and by the end of the day the candidate that got the most votes wins. Simple and pure as that. My country has set an example of Democracy for Latin America and I'm really proud to be part of that process every four years.
It doesn't matter how you or we do it, but we've got this precious right to have a voice in our country's' future. So get out and VOTE.

Actually, I prefer NOT to know other peoples political beliefs. For one it is none of my business, just as mine are no one elses. So I am glad Vera pretty much just sticks to gossip. But today is voter day and you just about have to reference it even tho a lot of the readers are not from the US, they still might be a little interested. I am like Vera, I am pretty much one sided on this one. I will be glad when it is all over. All of the commercials are getting on my last nerve.
