Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz welcomed a beautiful baby boy into the world last night. Bronx was 7 lbs., 11 oz., and 20 1/2 inches long.
"Ashlee, Pete and baby Bronx are all healthy and happy, and thank everyone for their well wishes!"
Well, I have to ask... what do you think about Bronx Mowgli? Mowgli is a character's name from The Jungle Book if it sounds familiar to you.

The first thing I noticed was the initials.

They will be great parents and congrats to then! I just feel bad for the baby’s "getting made of future" for his name..
I don't mind Bronx so much.....but Mowgli IS pretty bad.....at least it's his middle name so nobody will have to know....poor kid! It seems celebs try to out-do eachother now with the most ridiculous baby names!

I'm sorry, I just can't imagine looking at this sweet, little, innocent baby in your arms and thinking, Bronx, that's it, Bronx. With Mowgli, they certainly are into a Disney themed life. Alice in Wonderland wedding, winnie the pooh baby shower(ok, that one is reasonable) and giving their son the middle name of Mowgli.

Yeah Lose That Girl...just what the world needs, another John. I'm all for unique names. There are so many people in the world, if you're not going to name your child after a family name or something it's cool to give them a name that means something special and unique. Again, you can't name your kid in anticipation of what kids and close minded people will think. Besides...he can hang out with Posh's kid Brooklyn later in life.

Holy HORRORS, these stupid celebs need to wake up and lose the ego that takes over when naming their children. First Zuma (which sounds like an alchoholic drink) and now Bronx Wentz. I can see using the name Bronx but dear LORD not with Wentz. Thats extremely horribad. And dont even start me on Mowgli. I was once harassed to tears for over a week because I read the original book in the 5th grade. I cant imagine the harassment if I'd been NAMED after it. Poor innocent baby.

But in all seriousness..congrats to them, she was pregnant FOREVER and I stayed up last night to find out about the baby (yes, i am a loser) and finding out the name was well.. a shock, but not really..they will probably go with a nickname anyway.
OMG - BRONX??? YUK - sounds like a dinosaur! And it's awful with the last name Wentz! Even worse is the middle name - Im not even going there! Poor baby . . poor kid growing up with that name! Just proves once again celeb parents with bad taste!
Mowgli is HORRIBLE, but I feel Bronx is no worse than Brooklyn (The Beckhams son)

I actually like the name Bronx, but as others have pointed out, it really doesn't flow with Wentz AT ALL. Mowgli is just bad. I still don't think this name is nearly as bad as Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale though.

They just beat Angelina Jolie to the punch with the boys names that end in X idea that they have going. Now Angie will have to be creative or use Bronx when they have another kid and the Ashlee can say... wow we had an influence on the Royal couple.
