Ashlee Simpson Heading To The Dentist

You aren't allowed to go to the dentist while you are pregnant. Then once you have the baby, your world is turned upside down so there's no way you are making any appointments other than your six week check up. I would say Ashlee Simpson is right on schedule with her dental appointment. :)

Here the singer is walking to her dentist's Beverly Hills office to get her annual taken care of while wearing a combination of black and white.

She's looking great! I love the new hair color but I can only remember her as the Ashlee Simpson from 7th Heaven when she's blond. Better go back to red.

It's not entirely true that you are not allowed to go to the dentist while pregnant.

I think it's important to go to the dentist while pregnant - I always did - just not for any major work. Remember the old wives tale about losing a tooth for every baby born? Dental health is extremely important all the time - especially when pregnant!

You should go to the dentist when pregnant. Most women get pregnancy gingivitis and you don't want it to get out of control.

She looks older than Jessica, maybe she's just tired but that hair color does nothing for her complexion.

In the UK, pregnant women are entitled to free visits to the dentist, I'm not sure why you wouldn't be allowed to go at all in the US :S

Yes, I agree. I have had extensive dental work while pregnant - including multiple fillings and a crown. As long as they don't give you a certain type of numbing agent (I can't remember the name), then it's fine.

"You aren't allowed to go to the dentist while you are pregnant".. not True!. Dentist recommend not to have elective work while pregnant, like bleaching or anything that might involve xrays or anesthesia. A dentist or doctor would never tell a pregnant woman to wait after birth for cleanings or emergency treatments. Is better to ask a doctor or dentist if you are pregnant and need or want a procedure done instead of listening to old-wives-tales.

since when aren't you allowed to go to the dentist while pregnant - I never heard of that one. I've been to the dentist while I was pregnant. You just have to let your dentist know that you're pregnant so that they don't give you x-ray and stuff.

I had a root canal done when I was 4 months pregnant! You can have stuff done, just only the things you really need.

Actually Vera, it's VERY important to visit the dentist while pregnant. I suffered SEVERE morning sickness, so they were keeping a close eye on my teeth enamel, and even coated the back ones to prevent damage to my enamel. Not sure where you heard it, but it's dead wrong.

It is safe to see the dentist and have a regular checkup even during pregnancy. It helps prevent damage enamel which is sometimes caused by pregnancy. Though, it is not really advisable to have x-rays, get anesthesias' or have your teeth bleached.

Even celebrities need dentistry, good to see they are not all perfect and have normal problems like us all ha ha. Love Ashlee Simpson though, she is well pretty, better than her sister too.
