• The memory keepers daughter. Or if you like suspense, thriller I say Intensity - great book quick read. Oh and the secret life of bees!

• Have you read Kite Runner, Khaled Hosseini.
• Anything by Milan Kundera
• I know you really enjoyed the Twilight series. There's another vampire series out there that I personally think is a little more fun - The Morganville series by Rachel Caine. The first five are out already. A lot of fun to read, witty dialogue, cute boys ... can't go wrong there. :)
• I'm planning on reading Target Underwear and a Vera Wang Gown next. The title just cracked me up. Will let you know if it's any good!

I agree, The Thirteenth Tale by Setterfield is very good, just a little hard to get into in the very beginning. The Book Thief by Zusak is also awesome, I cried like a baby at the end.

I am reading Atlas Shrugged, 1164-ish pages. No lie. Urgh. But good so far. I have read about half of the list. Glass Castles is our book club book this month, but already read and loved it. Geisha, awesome, own it. Water for Elephants one of my best reads in five years. Kite Runner too, awesome, all books by that author were vewry good, and the Time Travelers Wife was pretty good. I like Marley and Me a lot.

Great list- I've ready most of those books. Have to agree that almost everything by Terry Pratchett, Jodi Picoult, or Anita Shreve is awesome. Another great read if you're into word play (Terry Pratchett books) is Jasper Fforde. So, James Patterson is great, but I can't believe that no one mentioned Alice Hoffman. If you ever liked Anita Shreve or Jodi Picoult, Alice Hoffman was the master of chick lit before either of those two started writing- she wrote Pratical Magic, Aquamarine, Here on Earth and lots of other great stories that have been made into movies. I'm a book fiend, so there's no end to my list of favorite authors... Oh! Sara Douglass is another FABULOUS sci-fi/fantasy author. She's in Australia though, so anyone stateside who is looking for her books had better go on Ebay if you don't want to have to wait for the US release date. *~Sassy~*

I am an avid reader and I also have a B.A. in English so I've read my fair share of novels. I tend to gravitate toward books with an Indian or Middle Eastern influence. Here are my favorite (non-classic) reads:
"Life of Pi" by Yann Martel, "Tales from Firozsha Baag" by Rohinton Mistry, and
"The Kite Runner" & "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by Khaled Hosseini. I also love the book "The Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold.
I didn't see you asking for this.. or maybe I haven't just logged into my Facebook...
I truly recommend THE THIRD SECRET by Steve Berry... if you like Dan Brown, you'll love his style... but THE THIRD SECRET is my fave!!
