Kellie Pickler Crazy About Her New Love, Not Crazy For A Wedding
American Idol alum Kellie Pickler is happy to be off the dating market but don't rush her: she's not ready to walk down the aisle and make it legal just yet. Although she's still "head over heels" for her boyfriend.

Kellie feels that she's too young to get married.
'I’m not ready — I’m 22, I just started out —
I’m not ready to put my husband first,' she said. '[I’ll wait until]
I’m to a point into my career where I can say, ‘This can come in second
and I’m ready to have a family.' "
For someone so young, she demonstrates some serious maturity and wisdom to know what she is and isn't ready for! Good for her.
Kellie's professional career is going strong. She is scheduled to tour with country star Taylor Swift later this year.

Kellie's personal history is probably the reason for her maturity. She was raised by her Grandfather when her Mother left and her Father spent time in and out of prison. She's from a very small town near me where she probably had to reallly scrape for what she wanted/needed and she more than likely carried the weight of the world on her shoulders. Hat's off to her!

That girl pulled herself up by her bootstraps, well, probably her vocal cords, and really made herself a fairytale ending. I am happy for her. More folks should get the fairytale. I hope she is inspirational to other children in situations that are less than we would hope for our own children. Still a minx, but yes, wise beyond her years. Well said, anon 8:32 pm
She was mature enough to pay for a nice new set of big boobies a couple of years ago. She went from flat-chested to full chested, but unfortunately wasn't honest enough to admit it.

I dislike it when people use their age as a reason/excuse to do something or not to do something. I think its the most obvious sign of immaturity. Im 23, got married last year and my husband and I are trying for a baby. So am I not ready for any of that just because of my age? She should leave her age out of it and just say 'Im not ready'

I agree that she should leave her age out of it. I got married at 20 (I am now 25) and we are trying for children. Everyone wants different things at differnet ages.

Just because you are ready to be married at her age or younger doesn't mean she is. She feels 22 is too soon for herself to be married; she never said it was too young for other people. Being that she is a singer and you are not, I don't think you can really judge her decision by what you are doing. Her lifestyle is completely different from yours.
Shes a darling girl..not the best voice..but she makes the most out of it. Her personality is what makes her shine. I really wish she didnt get the boob implants, though. I think her figure was cuter before. Seems like she really has self esteem issues. Its hard not to when your mom abandones you. Id like to bitch slap every mother out there that has left their kids. Men do it..but their idiots..women should have more maternal instincts than that.

Wow I was thinking when I looked at the pics that here is a girl who dresses way too old for her age. 22? thats really sad. Shes like a beauty contestant - always trying to look 20 years older then they really are. Its too bad that the image I get of her is a pretentious, self absorbed, whiney woman who never steps too far from a mirror. Im not saying thats what she is but thats the image I get from this pic.
