Slumdog Millionaire Star, Dev Patel, Is Star-Struck

Slumdog Millionaire Star, Dev Patel, Is Star-Struck

I can't even imagine how crazy his life is right now! I mean, just a few months ago nobody knew who Dev Patel was.  Now, he's in the running for an Oscar and rubbing elbows with the totally rich and famous! INSANE. No wonder Dev is a little bit star-struck!

"It's been like a whirlwind. I was taken straight from the
airport in my jeans to a posh tea party. I was still holding my
passport when I got introduced to Clint Eastwood. I was embarrassed
because I felt a bit smelly! When we got to the Golden Globes it was
completely full-on. Demi Moore came up to me on the red carpet. Then
Drew Barrymore took me to one side for a 10-minute chat. Later, Alec Baldwin said some amazing things. Sting came over and said
he loved the film and gave me a lovely hug. Tom Cruise and Leonardo
DiCaprio shook my hand. Even P Diddy recognised me! How mental is that! I'm just some lad from Harrow (in London)!"

In case you didn't know, this was Dev's FIRST movie role ever. Sounds like he has a bright future ahead of him. It will be interesting to watch him find his place in Hollywood.

That's cute! What about his lovely co-star Freida Pinto. She's so pretty. If you haven't seen the movie you should check it out.

I am also a big fan of Skins and thought Dev was so funny on the show. The first time we saw the preview for Slumdog Millionaire, my friend and I were like " What!? That was Anwar!", which totally confused everyone else around lol. If I remember correctly, I heard that he didn't have any acting experience before being asked to join the cast for the first 2 series of Skins. That is just amazing to me, that he could go from that to being nominated at The Oscars. Extraordinary, so happy for him! Go Anwar! haha
