Chris Brown Turns Himself In - Posts Bail
Some readers of INO are claiming that Rihanna is the one Chris Brown allegedly abused - which makes this story even more bizarre for me. While we can't confirm who the woman is who phoned in the attack, we do know that the R&B singer turned himself into the police last night, answered some of their questions relating to the domestic violence felony battery charge, and posted $50,000 bail prior to being released from their custody.
"He turned himself in around 7 p.m. to one of our stations and is being interviewed by detectives now," Officer Smith said.
According to law enforcement records, Brown, 19, was taken into
custody at 6:30 p.m. and was officially booked at 7:41 p.m. for making
criminal threats.Brown posted $50,000 bail and was released.
Chris is due back in court on March 5th.
TMZ has some footage of the singer being brought into custody.

wow this is just crazy. i dont know much about him but never imagined that would happen. i bet his career is over now..she shouldnt have messed with rihanna (or any girl)

just read & saw pics on gossip girl of she & chris together after the alleged assault. he's getting gas & she's in the passenger seat...supposedly he ran a red lite to escape the paps...omgoodness!!!

Why do woman feel it's ok to be abused. In her case she is only 20, they aren't married , it should be really easy to walk away from that relationship. I guess I just don't understand.

Those photos can't possibly be after the alleged assault because it supposedly occurred at 12:30am. He ran off shortly after that since he was no longer with her when the police got to the scene. And those photos are supposedly taken at 1am which means that they wouldn't be together at the time... unless, of course, the woman on question isn't Rihanna and these photos were taken after he ran from the scene. Besides, the photos are labeled as being taken around 1am February 7th, which would be early Saturday morning, not Sunday.

Domestic violence is a complex thing for the victim and it's very hard to escape a violent relationship.

They always go back to the abuser. Sad but true. I read it wasn't the first time he hit her.
Basically they are saying that they got into an argument over the fact that she gave him herpes (which you can clearly see in the picture above that she has a cold sore on her lip).
*For those who don't know... If she gave him oral sex while she had this cold sore (which is a form of herpes...simplex-1) she probably ended up giving him the STD (herpes simplex-2).
Is that a reason for him to put his hands on her? NO! But if you found out someone gave you a disease you would have to deal with for the rest of your life with no cure you would be upset too!

I can't believe he did this! He deserves the max penalty for sure! His career and his ratings are way over! Serves him right; don't mess with a woman!
Chris Brown's career is over. He probably won't do any serious jail time or anything like that, but who is going to endorse his "brand' after this? It's not like he was a ganster rapper with badass appeal. Most of his fans were women in the first place. He probably will not be able to get a record deal and will be working at a car wash within a month.
