Wrigley's Puts Chris Brown Campaign On Hold

Wrigley's Puts Chris Brown Campaign On Hold

Wrigley's has officially suspended Chris Brown's Doublemint gum campaign until police investigations revolving around the domestic abuse allegations are complete.

"Wrigley is concerned by the serious allegations made against Chris Brown. We believe Mr. Brown should be afforded the same due process as any citizen. However, we have made the decision to suspend the current advertising featuring Brown and any related marketing communications until the matter is resolved."

Just like that... his entire life has changed.  We still don't really know ANYTHING yet. I'm sure everyone wants the truth to come out - the question is,  how long will that take?

I was just telling my son this evening that I figured Wrigley would drop Chris. Not surprised at all! He doesn't have that squeaky, bubblegum (ha) image anymore.

That's interesting because I was watching Fox today and they played that commercial at least 5 times within a few hours... At a point it seemed like they were playing it at pretty much at every commercial break. Weird.

Same, actually. But I think it was on a different network. They don't appear to have pulled the TV ads yet.

i dont think it will change his life much.
violence & jail are pretty common happenings amongst the rap/thug community.
the saddest thing is he, Chris Brown has seen his mother abused by a man before and yet now he is doing the same thing.

stupid little bugger.

He is neither rapper nor a thug. Chris did not grow up a thug and he's talked about witnessing violence as a child and how he's disgusted by it. In fact, his image is pretty much "squeaky clean" according to certain sources and he went off on that and his good looks. Don't confuse a singer with a rapper just because of his skin color.

So much for innocent until proven guilty...

i think that chris and rihanna were getting it on in his car, "bruises and bites on Rihanna" as reported said. and then they something happened and they got in a big trumatic arguement. everyone knows how sensitive young love is if rihanna was crying. i think everything is miscontruded.

The commercial is still playing here in Canada =_=; reminds me of iPod's commercial except it's glowing neon-green.

I think Chris became enraged because Rhianna finally told him she was born a man, now a trans

He should get dropped, but I understand why they only suspended his contract. He is obviously guilty. What an ***hole.
