I agree with anonymous @ 9:04 am: this is a little sad. Instead of aging gracefully, she's clinging to her youth and has become a caricature of her old self. When she was 20 or 30, she could pull this off. But now, she's in rough shape. I feel sorry for her children. I'd be mortified if she were my mother. And since kids can be really cruel, they must really be teased about her at school. The whole thing is sad.
There's one thing I've learned from Madonna and Pam Anderson: aging gracefully is quite an art.

Even though she looks trashy IMHO, I'm glad to see someone embracing their body (at whatever age). I think it would be more appropriate at a beach or in the privacy of her home, but seriously, as long as she's not my mom, I don't care. So she's a bit crazy. So she doesn't want to cover herself up b/c she is proud of her body? Who cares. It takes all kinds to make this world as interesting as it is everyday.

She is getting old, that is why she has tons of body make-up on. Plus the tons she has on her face. But just like Madonna she does not want to think of herself as being old. So the rest of us will just have to keep looking at her parading around in a bathing suit till she dies!

She is pure trash! What part of her body is she proud of exactly?? The face she paid for? The hair she paid for? The boobs she's paid for 8 times now? The tummy tuck? Her skin looks like burnt leather, she DOES look like a drag queen, and she looks like she's hammered. A 40+ year old mother of 2 should not be behaving this way.

We are talking about someone who has made all of her money (and fame) off of what she has paid to have done with her body. She has zero acting skills and the only way she can get a job right now is to flaunt what is long gone. I'm a good decade younger than her and my ass looks a hell of a lot worse than hers, but I make my living in an office. I wouldn't (and shouldn't) expect to ever get paid for what my body looks like. This woman needs to cover up, sober up and get some much needed class. I'm embarassed to have come from the same town as her.

Pam looks bad, but not *because* she's in her 40s. It's because she's totally overdone. She was over done at 30 too. She's a caricature and frankly, the way she's looking lately I wonder about what she's getting up to with her recreational time.
Women don't suddenly stop existing once they turn forty for god's sake people. Wrinkled up old granny? She's not sixty, she's 40, there's a difference.
HOWEVER, as women age, they can still be sexy without being classless. Plenty of young women have no class either and look like drunken, cheap skanks every day. Pam looks awful, not becuase she's in her 40s but because she's not runway appropriate and because she's trying to be something she wasn't even hot at when she was ten and fifteen years younger.
As for women in their 40s and above, they are beautful and sexy and can continue to be as long as they realize they're not 25 anymore. Salma Hayek is 42, Monica Belluci is 45 - they're both more beautiful and sexy than most women half their age. Susan Sarandon is 63!
