Love It Or Hate It: The New Louis Vuitton Line
I was going to post this on my Beauty and Fashion section, but I just have to know what the masses think about Louis Vuitton's new line. It's... different and...bright. I will give it that!! ;)
Last night, I attended the Bloomingdale's Louis Vuitton Fall / Winter Line Launch and snapped a few shots of the event. My friends from Bag Trends were also there, so I wanted to send them some love. If you are a bag nut, then their site is right for you.
The best part of the evening was the New Yorker cartoonist that was on call to draw a picture of each guest with something from Louis Vuitton! My picture is showing the bag being an arc and me climbing in. I LOVE it! If you read the magazine, he signs his work with Dd, but his real name is Dan.

I like the bags without the flowers and thanks for the bag site, I have so many bags; I had to put them inside my huge laundry basket. I don't have the space for all.

I think it is cute, but for the price of a LV... would buy a traditional bag. I just splurged on my first LV and LOVE it - would encourage everyone out there to get one! My baby:)

I don't like the floral. Not only is it floral...it looks really, really, really cheap. The graphic writing is pretty cool, but it reminds me too much of Gwen Stefani's LAMB purses from a few years ago. I actually have a LAMB and I love it :) Ive never liked Louis Vuitton.....Im a coach girl.....although the only coach I own is the change purse. ha ha ***annie***
If I'm getting an LV bag, I want something classic, so no, I don't like these. The painted flowers make it look like a cheap replica, imo. My mom bought a classic Speedy over 15 years ago (costs almost twice as much now), uses it regularly, and it still is in super shape. That is quality.

i have never been a fan of the lv bags. I am not one for the logo print on anything. of any my good bags, none have the logo scralled accross it..the most is on the print on the inside of it. If I am paying so much, I want something i really like, not just for the name. I just do not get it.
and since LV seems to only make bags with their name writting everywhere, i have never liked them. (ok, i did see one they made, and it was nice, som white bag, no logo's.. but since i have not seen any)
I recently saw them in a LV store in Las Vegas and unfortunately they look really cheap. As opposed to their classic bags, these look like a fad and I'm not spending that kind of money on a bag that will be out of style next year.

I'm pretty over the whole LV classic canvas with various overlays. However, I will say that this is the best version of the collaboration or tribute I've seen from MJ/LV.

I am not a Louis Vuitton fan at all. I really don't like his designs or the color schemes of brown and beige. And now there are flowers smeared all over them! Just ugly all around. I also have a problem with people paying more for a purse than most families of four get to spend on groceries in a month.

the roses is the tackiest bag I've ever seen by them. it is the bag equivalent of having a ROSE tat on your shoulder. no class
LV is so ugly and played out. They already did this flower and graffiti crap years back and I mean lets be real, ladies that carry LV bags for the most part dont know shit about the art of graffiti. Posers.
i hate it, sorry but it is ugly. just because you pay 1500 per handbag it doen not make it beautiful. this is a perversion. i do like their more traditional classic designs like Alma bag. I wish they would quit appealing to new rich teen money craze. it makes the bag a whole less desirable for me when I see this on 16yrs olds. at some point this is what happened to Victorias secret when it became swamped with college coeds and high school slu.tts. Now they are trying to get it back ....
