Drew Barrymore To Direct One Of The Twilight Movies?

Drew Barrymore To Direct One Of The Twilight Movies?

Does Drew Barrymore have enough experience behind her to get handed one of the most sought after films of 2010? Whether or not you are a fan of the series, you have to admit that there is some power behind the next two films.

EW is reporting that Summit Entertainment is pitching directors right now and Drew Barrymore is one of them. What an opportunity!

Who would you want to direct Eclipse?

I'm sorry but Drew Barrymore has directed 1 movie and though I haven't seen it I seriously doubt it required anything like the special effects Eclipse will need. Is it so much to ask to get a real director? Why are they making this all so difficult? Harry Potter got awesome directors after the dreadful Chris Columbus, why can't we that for this too?!? I'm excited to see what Chris Weitz will do with New Moon but I would be seriously pissed-off if they have Drew Barrymore direct Eclipse...I rather have Catherine come back and do that one!

No, no no no....She doesnt have nearly enough experience to take on something like that...It would be terrible. I agree that Guillermo Del Toro would probably be amazing for the job.

I dont think she is experienced enough. I didnt even like the Charlie's angels stuff she did. Corny. At any length, I think she is wierd and looks wierd. Dont like her much.

I second the vote for del Toro. Or even Alfonso Cuaron, who directed Harry Potter PoA, Y tu mama tambien, and one of my all-time favorite movies, Children of Men.

Drew has directed quite a few movies actually. But she's never done an action movie that requires serious special effects and fighting scenes. I'd say give her a chance but I think they should find a director and stick with them. Otherwise, it's just gonna get ridiculous. If they would calm down and not push these films to come out so fast, they could sign on Chris Weitz again. I just have a bad feeling about the upcoming movies...

I'd like to see one of the Harry Potter directors direct Eclipse. They've all done well w/ Harry Potter and I'd like to see what they could do with the Twilight series.
