It's official. Rest in peace Natasha. What a sad day.... Prayers and strength to her family. Such a beautiful, young and elegant lady leaving a loving husband and 2 children behind. What a tragic loss. My heart truly goes out to all of them :-(((

she died, not just passed away...start feeling more emotions as oppose to covering up behind words...we are not 5 yr olds here

Anonymous Anonymous said:

There is nothing wrong with saying 'passed away' No one is covering up emotions behind those words. I think you need to stop acting like a 5 yr old and grow up. If you were smart enough you would know that there are different ways of saying that someone died.

RIP Natasha. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Sorry, but I think saying "passed away" is a much more elegant, classy way to say "she died". If you don't know what the euphemism means by now, then look it up!

Anonymous Anonymous said:

Classy or not, someone died. When I was younger and my father died, the therapist I went to made sure that we could refer to it as "died" and not use candy-coated euphemisms. It was part of the healing, being able to say he died, because that is precisely what happened.

I kind of figured she was dying. It didn't make any sense for them to fly her if she had swelling on her brain. I feel so bad for her family--especially her sons. I can't even imagine what they are going through. My condolences.

Feel so bad for her family, she was so young. Especially for her boys, they will have to grow up without their mother.

Natasha Richardson, may God rest her soul in peace, is the THIRD person to die on a Canadian ski slope in the past 2 months. The first two were students in Grades 9 and 12 on school trips. Sad.

Rest in peace~

I survived two head injuries( car & bike accident). Wear a helmet! if riding a bicycle or skiiing but in any situation head injuries are very deceiving. You may feel fine,at first but have a doctor check it out. I was o.k at first but then couldn't speak as time went by. Today I'm perfectly healthy. I'm soooo sorry to the family. I feel terrible :(

It is something we all knew would happen but didn't want to hear. I followed this story from the moment I heard - honestly just thought the media was making a bigger deal then it was, like they usually do, but obviously not. Im thoughts and prayers are with her family especailly her two boys!!

I felt so bad for their family trying to enter the hospital and being talked to by the paps. Granted, they were not rude towards the family, but still. That has to be SO difficult. I wish they'd consider their feelings and forget about the paycheck for these types of horrible instances. :(

So Sad It's such a Tragic event

I wonder if she was on some type of Blood Thinner (like Coumadin).
I had a family member that died after she tripped on a sidewalk and hit her head. She was fine until about a hour after when she developed a severe headache, dizziness and nausea - went to the Hospital and died a short time latter. It was almost exactly the same way that Natasha died except she was on Coumadin. Come to find out later that what happened to her was not unheard of for people that hit their heads while they're on a blood Thinner

The birthcontrol pill can cause all kinds of blood clots too & yes. other drugs like asprin or coumadin too.

The birthcontrol pill did not help when I was in a car accident. It caused the blood in the brain area to clot. Anyone on the pill should be informed that blood clots are a side effect.

i am deeply saddened by her passing. as a wife, mother, daughter, sister, and actress..she will be missed greatly. there are no words i can say to express how i feel execpt i am sorry and very happy she didnt have to suffer very long. it makes me very glad to know that her family didnt want to see her as a vegetable and reminds me of the fact people need to have a living will made up. no matter how young or old u are, i am my dads decision maker if and when that time comes. sad to see such talent pass away before her time.

My heart is broken for her, Liam and their two precious boys. They are in my prayers. What a shocking, freak accident; I have a feeling that her tragic death will actually end up saving others' lives now because people will start wearing helmets more and more while skiing. But I'm so devastated that this had to happen to her ... she was a beautiful woman and a wonderful actress. God bless her and the entire family.

How shocking, how very shocking. She was a wonderful actress and so classy and beautiful - and young! They made such a lovely couple. Skiing gives me a fright, and this has only reinforced it. I'm so sorry, I cannot imagine what the family is going through. I will be thinking of them.

Thank you, I'm Not Obsessed, for posting beautiful pics of Natasha as she was in life. Other websites are posting pics of her grieving family which is so sad at this tragic time for them. I am sure they went through a lot of anguish to make the decision to take her off life support--I cannot even imagine their pain and sorrow. Natasha was a beautiful woman, a talented actress and appeared to be happy in her marriage and in her family life. May she be remembered for her achievements, her spirit and her loving ways. RIP Natasha and prayers for your family and friends and their great loss.

I love that picture of her, too, Vera---it sort of sums up Natasha's appeal: she was beautiful, classy, and very intelligent, and it showed in her work. On top of that, it appears she was a genuinely nice person and devoted mother as well. I am so sad for her family in their loss...and I'm sad for the world, too, because she was such a gifted actress.
