Katie Holmes Spends $40k On A Makeover
I know there's a price to pay for looking good, but at $43,239 Katie Holmes takes this concept to a new level! That's how much she spent on spa treatments before the Japan premiere of Valkyrie last week.
The mother-of-one is said to have
splashed out a fortune on the incredible makeover, which took more than two
days to execute.While holed up at the
Ritz-Carlton in Tokyo
ahead of the red carpet appearance, Katie was reportedly treated to intensive
pampering sessions by a team of beauty experts.She also apparently spent £7,000
in spa treatments, £20,000 in dental veneers and further £1,000 for premium
make-up.
And in some cases, looking good can really make you feel good too.
She was happier than she's been
in months.
That's a lot of money...was it worth it? Did Katie look 40k worth of good on the red carpet that night?

For someone who spent so much on her veneers, she should've shown off her teeth at least once!

A friend of mine is a make-up artist to the celebrities and she said that Katie & Tom are truly in love and that the tabloid stuff is total B.S!
I still think Tom Cruise is a great actor. He just needs to not discuss, his religous point of view.
and btw! Suri is the cutest!! I think Shiloh is adorable but Suri doesn't even look real,she's so cute! Katie seems like a really good,mom too! Very grounded.

Humility? Don't make me laugh. It's just a simple fact. It shouldn't take money at all to look better than she does. The girl is what some might consider cute but that's about it. Nothing special.
To you, she's nothing special. What do you consider beautiful. There IS NO definiton of beauty. Your definition is not the ultimate answer. So why don't you smoke on that!
Couldn't agree more! The issue here is taste. I think her taste is terrible. She's a beautiful woman--no doubt. But what she chooses to wear seriously detracts from her beauty. It is not how much you spend--it's how you spend it.

She does look 40 years younger so I'd say that's a plus. Dunno if it's 40K worth, but I know a ton of women who might spend that much to look that much younger. She looked terrible with short hair. The hair itself was pretty, but didn't flatter her at all. The longer hair is much better and makes her face look less angular and- well... old. Nice to see she's looking more our age.
she looks stunning beautiful gorgeous...this is her best looks in years....she actually look like a woman for a change. If it cost $40 grand to achieve this look, than it's worth every penny.

yeah her upper body is fantastic but if you get lower you can see that there's too much legs for nothing since there not that great ..but damn she really should have kept the extentions but loose the outfit all togheter ..

She needed a makeover she was on the verge of having to change her name to Kurt or something. Looking a little too manly. She looks better, other than the ugly dress. I guess I will leave Tom alone today, although there is lots I could say.

To bad she ditched this look for the plain jane look. As for Tom and Katie, I will never believe they're happy and in love.
Firstly must say the outfit is WONDERFUL. Its fresh, its young (she's not 50) and the hair extensions just add to how beautiful she really is when she is not wearing the dowdy mum look.
This photo is wrong on so many levels. I cannot say they look like a happily married couple. Why would you rest your arm on the shoulders of your husband as you would a friend or family member?? Her arm should be around his waist pulling him in tight or at least her body pointing towards his. Not a nice photo of a couple who are supposed to be together and in love. Maybe there should be a selection of photos of celeb couples who actually are in love with each other and you'd get my meaning.
The outfit is a mess and the hair looks very fake.

I think she looks great... don't know about 40k worth of great but hey, for them thats probably equivalant to our $400!! Don't like the stirrup tights though, they are best left in the 80's.....

She looks tacky from the neck down & this only reconfirms my opinion that she should have never cut her hair so short...I have short hair, so I am all for people cutting theirs, but not her...She had really pretty hair when it was long, it was just silly for her to go so short. They have more money than humanly necessary, if she wants to keep these spas & stuff in business then she should go for it.
