Madonna Fires Her Nanny Before She Has A Chance To Quit

Madonna Fires Her Nanny Before She Has A Chance To Quit

Madonna entire team is supposedly on call for her 24 hours a day. David Banda's nanny, Angela, handed in her month's notice because she couldn't handle the long hours.

‘All Madonna’s employees work incredibly long hours, so it’s no
surprise that Angela had had enough. If you work for Madonna you are on
call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There’s no such thing as a
weekend.’

But, Madonna was so mad about it, that she fired her before the month was up.

The rumour is that Madonna was furious that Angela was leaving and
dismissed her before she had the chance to complete her full notice,’ a
source who works closely with the singer said last night.

Since Madonna has confirmed that she'll be adopting another baby from Malawi, this timing is a little bit off. Hopefully she can find someone trustworthy to work for her before the paperwork goes through. However, she's spotted out regularly with her kids by herself so I'm sure she can handle things on her own if need be.

I am so sick of her. (Madonna) thinks she is above everyone else, and her looks are going the way of Michael Jackson! I used to be a fan- when I hear stories like this it makes me sick to my stomach. Madonna- you are just a freaking person like the rest of us. Deal with it.

So funny that people blame Madonna. I mean, didn't the nanny know that she will be on call 24 hours before accepting the job? If she knew she couldn't handle it, why did she apply? It's like u go to the army and then when it's time for war, u chicken out cause u have to go to another country.

I think people would blame madonna for being a biotch for firing the nanny, who apparently gave her proper notice. Or do you seriously think the nanny should work for Madonna for as long as Madonna wants regardless of what the nanny herself decided to do? It doesn't really matter why the nanny wanted to leave.

Anonymous82, working 24 hours without any free time its called slavery, you have to respect your employees. No one lives to work. Madonna is just impossible..she should be sued for that.

But if that's the contract from the beginning, why bother to even work for her then? And if that's true, why none of her employees called OSHA or something like that to report it? My point is, it's always very easy to blame the celebrities since they don't usually respond to the rumors. But nobody ever talks about how the employees did their jobs.

Anonymous Anonymous said:

I don't know the laws in USA, but such contract would be impossible in Europe. You have to respect the employee's free time. There's a number of free hours per day that the state obligates you to give to the employee. if such law doesn't exist in the USA, i think is just wrong. You can't just write in a contract whatever you like...

We do have laws that protect employees here in the USA; Madonna should know better if this story is true. Everyone needs a rest from daily work. You can't over work a person, is against the law for anyone to work 24 hours a day.

Besides, as a employer you have to be nuts to hire somebody 24 hours per day. You have to realize that no one can work like that in long term. You have to think that this person takes care of your kids, if he/she is exhausted, your kids will not be taken care of ...

who on earth would want to work with her 24/7??? that's crazy.

That totally sounds like something Madonna would do. She would never work like that for someone if she wasn't a celeb so why should she expect everyone else to give up their happiness and come follow her? So selfish.

I'm confused. Why are people saying the nanny was fired when she quit? I don't think Madonna not wanting the nanny to do the notice means she's fired. Giving notice is more for the benefit of the employer than the employee.

If this is true then she's crazy and a slave driver. My question is why does she want to adopt another baby if she doesn't have time to care for her kids-the nanny has to be on call 24/7? Just because you have the means ($$$) and can adopt doesn't mean you should adopt.

Madonna seems like a bitch, but none of us really know for sure...There are rumors that she is very difficult to work for, she is beyond demanding & on top of it all, cheap. But, I think it would be okay if she released the nanny before her notice was up, as long as she paid her & she wasnt technically "fired"...That happens all the time, it is not uncommon for people to be dismissed before their notice ends....The nanny giving notice & sticking around was for Madonna's benefit anyway, it gives her time to find a replacement & also keeps the nanny around if she needs to train the new nanny on stuff...I hope Madonna gives the nanny good references if she was a decent employee.

The old broad should not be allowed to adopt kids and hire effing nannies... and whats up with the whole name .. his name is david and he should be with his African roots ,, if she cared that much the broad should give he father money to help care for the boy. Angelina started something with these white women!
