Whitney Port Isn't A Twilight Fan
Whitney Port is definitely a Rob Pattinson fan...then again, who isn't these days? But, she admits that she hasn't read the Twilight books and probably won't since she didn't care for the movie too much.
"I haven't read the books, but I saw the movie," she said. "I thought the movie was really bad. I love whatever his name is ... Robert [Pattinson]. I think he's so good-looking and handsome. I haven't met him."
She also talks about her thoughts on Kristen Stewart.
"She's OK. She seems so serious, like she's so one-dimensional. I think [Stewart and Pattinson] have good chemistry ... I just
didn't think the acting was so good."
And when asked if Whitney would ever audition for the Twilight series, she says,
"I'm not really so much of an actress. I didn't do this to do acting."
OUCH! That's a little harsh, no?

I liked the book "Twilight" OK, but it didn't make me want to go out and buy any of the sequels. The movie was really sort of bland and not very engaging; I agree with Whitney on that one. I don' t think KS is a bad actress, but I don't think she's as good as she thinks she is. And I must be the only person in the world who doesn't get the Rob Pattinson obsession. He is attractive, but I don't get why so many people love him so very much. For Twilight fans, I think it's because he's the closest they can get to a real-life Edward Cullen.
your not the only one, I don't get the attraction the Rob Pattinson either. I just never saw that kind of guy as attractive at all, a bit to scruffy. But, even if they got a good shave and a haircut, still, don't see it!
Harsh NO. The truth yes. I think if you are going to do a movie like this you need to actors with star stature and those two have none. I haven't read the books but if I had I wouldn't want to see the movie because of those two.

I agree 100%. I read the books because my sister told me how amazing they were. They were not. They were pretty mediocre, but the thing that was the worst was how weak they made Bella seem! She is a smart girl (at least academically smart) and I don't understand how she could love and basically be obsessed with some overprotective guy who stalks her all the time! Definitely not a good role model!

I find it really tacky for one actress (is this Whitney chick an actress? Apparently not but still) to dis another actress. It's really in poor taste. Yeah, so the books weren't that great and the movie wasn't that great because the books weren't that great. It's just really poor taste to dis another actress' work. I now don't like this Whitney Port chick because she had the audacity to dis Kristen Stewart. Not a good thing to do.

It's not harsh, it's true. It really is a horrible movie and only a mediocre book. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart may be decent actors, but you wouldn't know it from Twilight. In fact, NO ONE brought a decent performance to this movie.

Twilight is seriously NOT my genre, but I saw the movie on a plane recently and thought Stewart was very subtle and engaging. The character (apparently, I've not read the book) seems one-dimensional to me, and I thought it was directed and shot poorly, but I found Ms. Stewart's performance to be...nuanced. Maybe it was the in-flight drinks tho... :)

BUT I am all for anything that gets teenage girls lining up at a book store to read - especially a book that is so thick !

I saw the movie, read the books, am not a fanatic but I actually enjoyed it.
I thought that both Robert and Kristen were perfectly casted. The chemistry was there, the tension and the talent. Hate on the movie if you want, by all means it's your choice.. but honestly, they are young actors making their name in the biz and I honestly feel like they did a good job. Shit, look at the numbers at the box office.. at least it didn't feel like I spent an hour or so sitting watching something that was boring me to tears.
Most definetly 'to each their own', but don't ruin it and make it suck for those who did like it... that's all :)

Is this even a confirmed quote? I find it hard to believe the Whitney would dis a movie and actors in public. If she DID say it, it's not like the acting on The Hills or The City is so stellar.
I actually really liked the movie and the books. I don't know why everyone takes it so seriously, it's not that Bella's character isn't smart. It's a chemical reaction the two of them have to eachother. Use your imagination and don't take it so literally.....
