We Don't Really Know Kristen Stewart
Now that Kristen Stewart has reached new heights of fame, she has new levels of fans to deal with. She says it's hard for her when people think they actually know her.
"You're so connected to people and they all know how to get to you, and everyone knows who you are, so explicitly. They think they
know you. It's like, 'You really think you know me? I don't know me!
How do you know I'm not different around someone else?' " Her voice
gets a little loud, and she slumps back in her chair."It almost makes the secrets more important, those few things you actually do choose to keep to yourself," she says quietly.
She adds that she doesn't quite understand what she's done to earn the Twilight hype.
"I'm really proud of Twilight. I think it's a good movie. It was
hard to do, and I think it turned out pretty good. But I don't take
much credit for it. So when you show up at these places, and there's
literally like a thousand girls and they're all screaming your name,
you're like, why? You don't feel like you deserve it."
Kristen also adds that she takes heat from the fans who want her to be with Rob Pattinson in real life.
"It doesn't make my relationship harder. It's not like, 'Maybe I should
be with (Pattinson) to make them happy and it'll make me more popular!'
" Stewart laughs, adding that her real boyfriend "is totally not a
threatened guy. But, dude, it sucks."
And here's a little quote for those of you who have criticized her interviewing skills.
"Really, I'm incredibly disjointed and not candid," she says. "Just in
general, my thoughts tend to come out in little spurts that don't
necessarily connect. If you hang around long enough, you can find,
like, the linear path. But it will take a second. That's why these
interviews never go well for me."
She soundsl like she was pretty open and honest in this particular interview. What do you think...does that change your opinion of Kristen at all?

i liked her in undertow, but she always looks like a dead fish... i dont know, maybe it's just the way she is.
I think she is totally right...I would be the same way if I was famous...it's like....not everyone wants to be followed around and asked all of these stupid questions...some people act for the love of acting ...not to be in the spotlight.
I saw an interview w/ her and her co-star in her new movie...that comedy...and the reporter was asking her about rob pattinson..and it's like..ok are they here for the new movie or twilight...i mean really!

Oh see I have seen and read some stuff that she did candidly, interviews, etc and I really liked her. She is dry but I find it refreshing then all the Hollywood PUFF out there. She is intelligent. I don't think that makes her unattached or aloof. I think that is her personality and people need to realize that because of her age that she is taking a different path and she isn't running around in clubs and making out with d-list reality stars.

You know, I was never a huge Kristen fan because she always struck me as being pretty monotone and serious. However, after I watched Twilight and read some of her interviews, I realized that there's a lot more to her and that she can be really likable at times. I can understand how being so front and center in the spotlight can make anyone restless and grouchy. I actually like this interview-- she sounds really down to earth and much smarter than a lot of her other peers.

I think she's a really good actress and has a lot of potential. She was great in Into the Wild and I really liked her in The Messengers as well. I think she's getting a bad rap from the fangirls because they all want to be Bella and are jealous because she gets to be Bella.

I also think that it's refreshing to hear someone being realistic about how hard it can be to deal with newfound fame and I can definitely see how many of her interviews have been misconstrued into making her sound like a b*tch rather than maybe a little confused. She's still very young and I it sounds like she's trying to adjust to the role she won and how it has changed her life so immensely... I doubt anyone in the film expected it to be as big as it's become. Whether I agree with what she says, I will always respect someone with big enough balls to say what they think, regardless of how that will be portrayed in the media. Oh, and I also totally agree that I'm sure there are many girls out there that are just jealous that she gets to play Bella, mostly because of the deliciousness that is Rob :)
I think she got some sort of talking to about how contemptuous she was being before about the Twilight movie! I just can't imagine it could ever 'suck' to be linked to Rob Pattinson no matter who she is really dating!

She’s 18 right? Well than to heck with her for not being the most articulate speaker.
i love twilight. i think its funny that kids/teens wants her to be with Rob in real life. luckily shes in a stable relationship and her boyfriend isnt insecure about stuff like that. i also like that shes so truthful and really normal. not getting into the hype.

After seeing some of her other movies now, Twilight was not her best work. She really is very talented. I do think she's not that great in interviews and she comes across really "above it all". I don't think she really feels that way but it's how she comes across, unfortunately and then the press go to town cutting her down about it.
I watched 'The Cake Eaters' last night, I SERIOUSLY recommend you all rent it and watch it and cry as much as I did. She is purely a gifted actor, and such a talent on the movies she is in.
On another note, at my work, TONS of 'New Moon' crew have been coming in and Rob was in last night!! I almost pissed myself, literally.. how embarassing would that have been?!
i thought she was with Rob...wasn't there a thing a few months ago where someone hacked his facebook and he admitted that he 'got her'? it seemed to me that she was with Rob and her Bf.

she should be with pattison if she wants to, the fans dont care, its the characters that they want to be together, so i dunno what her prob is. wether she is with rob or not she will be looked at the same way, as far as her current bf is well he doesnt have a job follows her everywhere and is so not letting her be, she seems to like that
she is not with rob becuase of herself she puts boundaries on love, whatever

I hope she is being genuine...I am sure she realizes that her personality in interviews has turned some people off, so I hope she isnt just making excuses...she sounds a lot more personable here, so maybe she is settling into her fame a bit more & getting more comfortable.
