The Best Restaurant I Have EVER Been To - The Bazaar In SLS Hotel

First off - these pictures do NO justice to the experience. But I HAD to post about The Bazaar in the SLS hotel because I swear, I had the best dining experience of my LIFE.

I am going to make this very long story short because I've been talking about this place for three days now. Hubby and I are making a trip down to Washington DC because there is another one of these in the area and he just HAS to try it out.

Also click here to see some great photos from a Twitter friend of mine.  He does the place better justice than I did.

Did you watch Top Chef when Marcal was on? Remember all his food he made with foam and machinery? Well, his technique is called Gastronomics and he is the sous chef over at The Bazaar. So I tried all the foam and get what the fuss is about.

My new friend on the West Coast - she was my Disney contact and I LOVE her!! Really made my trip so much fun AND was the one who knew about this place.

THIS is how the food comes out. So instead of getting tomato and mozzarella with some basil, you get these tubes filled with mozzarella foam stuffed inside a cherry tomato. You eat the tomato and then squeeze the foam - so crazy!

And the other picture is their version of a Philly Cheese Steak - TO DIE FOR!

Then once you finish your meal, you MOVE to the dessert area. How fun is that? The first picture is where we sat. It's very Alice in Wonderland meets a princess party. The dessert table is LLLOOONNNGGG - I couldn't take it all with my camera. But you walk down and see everything they have to offer in these little cases.

Then our dessert came. It was Clementine sorbet with rose foam. You had to smell the rose first and then take a bite. I thought the waiter was kidding, but he wasn't. When I did, I couldn't believe HOW WELL the flavor and smell went together. I mean, WHO WOULD THINK about putting rose with Clementine? So strange.

What a night! If you live in the area, give it a shot.

It does sound interesting. I'm not very experimental with food. I'm always afraid that I will hate it and then stuck paying for it.

Hmm...I like to have an open mind, and I love tomato/mozz salad...that mozz foam sounds/looks downright nasty! It couldn't have been as good as a fresh/real Caprese salad w/the basil and vinegar....right Vera?

The Philly Cheesesteak looks completely raw. I wouldn't touch it.... :S The dessert table looks good, but as for the main stuff, I would need something more hearty and filling and more appealing-looking! The foam and tomato thing is odd -- not sure how I'd like eating foam.

It looks wonderful, but it doesn't look like you actually eat anything.
