Tom Cruise And Katie Holmes Have Spent $1 Million On Suri's Education

Tom Cruise has spent $1 million on his two-year-old daughter Suri’s
education.
Can you IMAGINE? Granted, we will never understand what it's like to earn the income that Tom and Katie Holmes do. Perhaps if we did, we wouldn't look at this claim as uncommon or out of the ordinary.
The ‘Valkyrie’ actor and his wife Katie Holmes reportedly want their child -
who turns three on April 18 - to have a well-rounded upbringing and have
splashed out on classes including foreign language, art and dance.
A source told the National Enquirer magazine:
“It doesn’t matter what Suri
is doing, Tom wants her to be able to do it better than any other child. All
parents think their kids are special, but Tom and Katie firmly believe Suri
is gifted.“She is learning French and Spanish and has a tutor she sees once a week.
“Suri has shown a real love of dancing, so Tom and Katie are encouraging her
as much as possible. She practices ballet, tap and modern dance for hours,
nearly every day. She also has private gymnastics lessons and is learning
soccer.”
That's one busy bee!
Suri recently attended Los Angeles’ Children’s Art Studio with two of David
and Victoria Beckham’s sons - Romeo, six, and Cruz, four - because Katie is
convinced socializing with older kids will benefit her daughter’s
development.
“Katie likes to have the Beckham boys around, since they
are older. She thinks Suri will emulate what they do and learn even faster.”
So what's next? As if there is room for another class on Suri's schedule.
“Piano and violin lessons are on the to-do list. Tom and
Katie just have to find time in Suri’s busy schedule!”
Wow! Considering this is the National Enquirer - who KNOWS! But let's assume it is for a minute. Do you think Tom and Katie are doing right by Suri? Or should a three year old just be... a kid?

This girl will grow up so messed up. Suri is 2 & they are already demanding perfection?
Kids need to rest.

This is sad (if there is any truth to this story)
personall i think this is ridiculous! i believe in letting children be kids and just let them pick up on their natural talent - of course with guidance. when children are too structured the lose alot of what it is being a kid is about. my heart goes out to suri...they should have some of that money cause she's going to need alot of therapy!12

This should have been a fact or fiction. I hope this isn't true. It just sounds like too much for a 3 yr old, gifted or not.
Wow! Does this mean she will 1,000,000 times more intelligent than the average bear? I certainly hope so, for her...
Poor, poor kid. With parents like Tom and Katie the road is set for growing into a dysfunctional adult.

They might want to get her some medicine if they are going to let her chew on a dirty shoe!! She is a cute kid!

I sure hope this is one of those typical Enquirer stories. Horribly sad if it's true.
A Million dollars and they didn't teah her not to put dirty shioes in her mouth!!!!!!!!! RETARDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And yet she east her shoe. Have they not taught her about dirt?
eats
Tom "Curise"???
I don't believe a word. Who are these SOURCES who seem to know so much. They know the celebs' plans, what they think, what's on their minds, etc. This is the same source that said President Obama is gay, Angelina Jolie is dying, George Bush and Condoleca Rice are having an affair, Obama and Oprah are having an affair, .... I am amazed how many people actually believe lies like this.
Yeah so true...this is the national enquirer...the most retarded magazines out there.

I for one don't have a problem with this. Our kids are our one true treasure that we pass onto society. I'd give my kids the world if I had the money to and the Cruise's do. I struggle to make bills meet so I can pay a private tuition to give my kids the best opportunity I can. My parents did the same for me and I appreciate it.
No where does it say she's being "forced" to do these classes. She looks like a happy child to me. She enjoys dancing so they are helping her perfect that talent. They are introducing her to the world and foreign languages. My kids started introduction to French and Spanish in the Pre-K. What's wrong with that?
The more you expose your children to the more they will understand and accept things in the world around them. The Scientology thing is odd, but at least she won't be ignorant to the world around her because she was her parents' top priority and they gave her all they could as far as knowledge and self confidence.
I agree! My college roomie was in jazz, ballet and tap when she was two, loved it her whole life and is so able and talented now she has spent the last 3 years headlining a solo dance show! She says she thinks the early years made all the difference. Likewise, one of my husband's buddies isn't that bright but can speak 3 languages fluently and is able to manage 3 more on a slightly less proficient level because his parents raised him speaking their native languages (Dutch and Italian) and since he learned these as a toddler, picking up German, Portuguese and French have been relatively simple for him. Parents who give their kids these opportunities for their own good are really granting them a huge blessing. This is how Royalty has been reared for 100's of years.
I agree with both of you. She seems incredibly happy if that is true, and I hope she is. These people who are crying about how horrible it is and how she just needs to be 3 years old are the parents who will end up with the Britneys and Heidi Montags and Lindsay Lohans, because the whole "let them be kids" idea doesn't end with them. They use that excuse for their failing children their whole lives. It's really sad. "Let them be teenagers," "Let them be young adults," It never stops. Kudos to Tom and Katie.
one Milliion dollars and she still isn't smart enough to NOT put her dirty flip flop bottom that's been on the filthy germ ridden ground directly into her mouth. Now that's money well spend Mr. and Mrs. Cruise.

You know, if you have the money to spend like that then I can't think of a better way than on her education but I hope they don't push her too hard and give her time to be a child.
If you do the math this is clearly impossible. They would have to spend over $9 000 a week on her education to be close to a million dollar tab. Each of her private lessons (tap, modern dance, ballet, spanish, french, gymnastics, soccer and going to an art studio) would have to cost over $ 1 000 a week. Im sure she doesnt do those classes every week. Im sure her parents are letting her get exposed and she will choose what she likes. They dont expect her to excel in everything.

No pressure, Suri!
The bottom of that flip flop doesn't look like it's seen pavement. It's probably her chew toy.
Actually other pictures from this day clearly showed her walking on the ground, then taking off her shoes, then being picked up and putting the shoe in her mouth. Yuck!

People say she's too busy. Is that really all that busy? Kids go to school 7 hours a day and most have extracurricular activities. With my daughter just playing soccer in elementary we didn't get home until 7 at night. That's not including the night she chose to do choir and scouts. That's a 12 hour day for us. Most kids do a lot more than that.
A tutor, some classes, and tap, jazz, ballet is really not that much. Just a couple of hours a day. It's not like we don't see her out and about plenty shopping and enjoying treats.

P.S. Eating a shoe is not a sign of intelligence it's the sign of a normal 3yr old.
Weirdos! I never heard of toddlers eating their shoes. If they put it in their mouth, shouldn't an adult tell them it's dirty?
25615 points
Your toddler has never put anything in their mouth? I work a nursery on Sundays and am constantly telling the kids "no mouth" and then putting it in the sink to be disinfected.
Katie probably doesn't even realize it. Suri is lying on her shoulder and there's probably a swarm of paps around.
I'm sure she's told not to chew on her shoes, but she'll still find a time to do it.
It's sad that some parents are shoving too many activities down their childrens throats. Why can't they let kids be kids, and let them have their fun without information overload?
LizzyPoo...I agree! All 3 year olds stick crap in their mouth. It doesn't mean the kid is dumb or that Katie is a bad mom. Suri's head is turned and they are walking. Katie can't see what is going on and she's probably just trying to get from point A to point B with all of those paps around! Nobody has a ton of paparazzi around them, so until you do, you can't really judge.

when does she have time to just be, it is important to let kids just l roll in the grass and look at the clouds.

I feel exhausted just reading about Suri's schedule. When does she have time just to be a kid?losethatgirl blog
Please stop with the National Enquier quotes already!!! I am sorry I don't believe that any parent has their kid practicing dance at the age of three for hours upon hours a day. No three year old would stand for it. WHAT A JOKE THIS POST IS. Please Vera enough already!
We see photos of Katie every time she blows her nose. If Suri is on the go hours a day, why have we never seen a picture of her on her way somewhere besides shopping with her mom and the cupcake store?
I completely agree. We see pictures of Katie and Suri how many times a day? Don't you think there would be pictures of her going to these dance classes? People will believe anything crazy, ecspecially when it is about a celeb they hate. It's the NE for crying out loud.

I totally do not believe any of this.
I doubt that some of this is true, but even if half of it is, it really shows ignorance. Besides that, how very obnoxious.
Lovely family and why bother posting the National Enquirer knowing its crap?
The pic just shows what a real and normal child Suri is. Suri and Katie are just adorable and to me Tom and Katie are great parents and doing the best they can amidst they are the most watched baby and family in this world. Tom said it best in England that they keep a balance for Suri. Protecting her is impt.but you also dont want her too sheltered. They just all live their lives in the best way possible. I hate filler news especially from the tabloids with the internet so known for that. You could have post pics of Katie,Suri and Bella at the L.A. Museum, The USC gala with Cruise,Katie,Spielberg and George Lucas, upcoming movies of Cruise from Variety and from the Wrap about the L.A. Promise Gala with Cruise and all the studio bosses of Disney,Warner,Fox,Dreamworks,Paramount.
I like reading news from prestigious articles not the rags. Aim high Vera and be different from the many online dirt.
Suri is beyond cute and Katie is classy and beautiful inside and outside. They're great in my book. Trash is not my cup of tea and I know which ones to read and avoid.
Good to know that a $1 million education cannot stop a little kid from putting a dirty shoe in her mouth! She really is a gorgeous little girl.

Can you say PRESSURE? Ugh. My mom was like that... enrolling me in everything and moving me through school like crazy and it was so much pressure. I felt like if I wasn't the best then I wasn't worth it... and then I hit high school and said this is ridiculous I quit trying to be perfect. My heart goes out to Suri, poor thing.

If it's true, it sad. They spend $1 million on a child who chews on her own shoes...LoL
Demanding that she has such a packed schedule at a young age is not fair to her, regardless of how much she loves doing those things....
Call the Cute Police on this two ASAP!!!!!!
Great going Ms.Sweeney! Youve achieved what you've wanted...high traffic for your website at the expense of others most especially a child. Classy, really classy.
I LOVE how you chose a picture of her chewing on her flip-flop to go with this story.
