Anna Faris Is Surprised She Ended Up In Comedy

Anna Faris and her family still can't believe that the actress ended up doing comedies. In fact, Anna says she really wasn't that funny growing up. Instead, she was rather serious.
"I've got to say it is still a little bit surprising to me
that I'm in the comedy world. And it's really surprising to my family,
because I don't think anybody thought I was funny growing up.
I was a very serious child."
Well, I am so glad she did because I always love watching her movies!
In her newest film, 'Observe and Report' , Anna said she wasn't nervous about doing the vomit scene because she's had some on and off film experience in the past.
"I did some vomiting in one of the Scary Movies. I'm experienced
at it. I've done a little in real life as well.
"I think you have to embrace a lack of vanity. I think any comedy takes a
bit of courage. You have be OK with people perceiving you as a pretty
unintelligent person and you know, that's OK. Maybe I am."
Anyone looking to see 'Observe and Report'? I probably won't go and see it in the theatres, but I wouldn't mind spending a Friday night watching it.

i love her story on how she got into the business. she's a hoot in those "Scary movies". She has grown to master her hot looks. but that dress is killing me. I thought the guy she's engaged to would home in on his hunky looks. he just looking plain jane these days.

on a side note: i guess everybody knows "wayne's world". during the audio commentary "wayne" mentions a scene where they have to decide if it's funny or not to let s.o. vomit (it's that drunk guy in the car). and they decided that it would be too crusty and a low blow. but today it's so common to see s.o. vomit in a comedy. and i always wonder: when did vomiting/seeing s.o. puke became funny? for me it's a reason to avoid this movie although i like anna faris very much.
