Nine West launched a preview of its fall 2009 collection at the New Museum of Contemporary Art last night in New York City. The entire collection truly captures the essence of a mature, stylish and sophisticated woman. Surprisingly, I was also entertained by the designers spontaneous expression on some showpieces. Any shoe, whether it’s a flat, pump, or boot is extremely versatile, making it easily wearable from day to night.

The eye-catching color palette consists of purple, berry tones, black, blues ranging from navy to deep aqua as well as shades of pink pastels and taupes. For more of an edge, metallic prints, chains, and studs create a trendy hip 80’s glam feel. It is a melody between the metal and leather.

I spoke to the creative mind behind this brilliant and intricate design, Fred Allard. He was extremely optimistic about this fresh new look for Nine West for the reason that it offers the latest fall shoe fashion trends at affordable prices. Overall, a dynamic conversation between casual and formal is flowing in the assortment, making all outfits fashionably accessorized. We can look forward to seeing this line in stores this coming September!
