Katie Holmes To Star In Dark Thriller

My, my, this girl has quite a range, doesn't she? Katie Holmes gets offers to star in all kinds of movies. This time she's taking on a dark thriller movie called, 'Don't Be Afraid of the Dark.'
"Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" is based on a 1973 ABC telepic about a
young girl who moves in with her father and his girlfriend and
discovers they are sharing the house with devilish creatures.
Sounds creepy...and awesome. I love these kinds of movies! What do you think, any interest in seeing this one? I'm not sure whether Katie will be the young girl or the dad's girlfriend, but either way, do you think she can pull off this kind of thriller movie?

While Katie is a cutie, she quite simply is not a very good actress. She's just sort of average. Not to be ugly, but I really think she's getting parts just because of the Cruise connection. I definitely wouldn't spend money to see it. I do enjoy her on TV though. Big screen - not so much.
I love that kind of movie but I think Katie is just going to ruin it.....she can't act!!!!

OH MY GODDDDDD!!!! This movie scared the CRAP out of me when I was a kid!!! LOL!! I couldn't sleep with the lights off for nearly a year! I wonder how Katie will do in it?
Katie plays the gf and Im scared of Guillermo's stuff. Impressive move by all around actress Katie.
She will nail it. Indeed Katie is really building her resume and its cool she is multitalented not stereotyping herself. Her career was already bright but its Cruise and Suri who stalled that a bit but Im glad she is back again.
I missed out on her stellar Broadway work but saw she was incredible on Eli Stone. Katie also outclassed and outshine Gyllenhaal in TDK especially she had chemistry with Bale.
