Jennifer Hudson Pops The Question

Jennifer Hudson Pops The Question

Nope, you didn't read that title wrong. Jennifer Hudson has already said yes to her fiance's proposal but she wanted to do something special for David Otunga...so she decided that she would also pop the question to him!

"Jennifer wanted to give him something really special when she asked David to marry her. It was very sentimental and romantic. They are really in love."

And here are some some details on the ring:

According to the designer, the "architectural and geometric" platinum and diamond ring is "masculine, yet has a lot of sparkle".

They took the ring in last weekend to get it altered to fit David's hand and the jeweler says,

"They were so lovey-dovey and so sweet to each other. He was very protective of her and they were so in love."

That's so sweet of her! I mean, it's typical for a girl to get jewelry from the man she loves, but the roles aren't often switched! Have you ever done anything like that for your significant other?

My husband and I both wore engagement rings before we were married. Since we were together for six years at the time, people first thought we had eloped, but once they knew the truth many thought it was a great idea. I guess it was our way of showing the equality in our relationship...afterall, why should the woman be the only person signified as "spoken for" before the official marriage ceremony? It worked for us, and next month we'll be celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary!

I proposed to my husband a few months after he popped the question. We were vacationing at a friend's house, sitting in front of a very romantic fire. I was so nervous that it took a half a glass of wine before I dropped to one knee and proposed! (silly, right, since he did it first!). He wore his engagement ring for our whole engagement - switched it for another ring on our wedding day!
