Quote Of The Day: Kim Kardashian Responds To Prop 8 Reaction

“I have many gay friends and all I want is for them to be happy, yet this is just another obstacle in their way. Now they must continue fighting to be granted a basic civil right that many people take for granted. Shame on you, California!”

-- Kim Kardashian reacting to the Supreme Court ruling on Prop 8

Well...gay couples actually can get married in some places these days.
That's a good start so far.
World has just used to gay couples, so don't be in a hurry. Shame not shame.
Say thanks gays dont get burned on fire like witches - is't it a success after 500 years? :) Just kidding.

As for me... Gays marriage...hmm...do you remember those actions: "RESPECT OUR RIGHTS" blah blah... Gays, do whatever you want...coz marriage is possible already...you'll have your 100% rights sooner or later...but you act WRONG! Speaking seriously, The main and only idea of the marriage, besides "ego" factor - children. Just a fact: gays can't give a birth. So in gays marriage there is no construcive basis for mankind. If gays show the World that they are useful for humanity like: they care about nature and ecology, about animals and just about our planet - World will give up and changed a lot about gays.
"We - gays - saved 100 whales - straigt people, accept us", "WE - GAYS - STOPPED a chemistry crime against the planet - government, you need us"...so on...People would get touched, coz someone - I mean gays - who is out of the law does a lot to save their future generations... which includes gays too btw. But so far... those demonstrations of yelling gays demanting serious attitude - pure circus.

Does that mean that women that cant have children should not be married?

I wont have children. My boyfriend and I dont want to. So, we must not/should not get married? Is that your reason? What about our possessions? How about all the things we will probably buy together? How are we going to be safe from that point of view?

And dont come with the god bulshit 'cause I'm talking about civil rights. I'm talking about civil protection.

And, circus its just what you've done... What gays r doing is exactly what they should have been doing for a long, long time. Just like black people did and won't stop doing. Rights are like that: if they dont came naturally, like they should, people must fight for it: yelling, perhaps, like you said.

Good day.

not everyone wants children and that's the good thing.....gays and lesbians may not be able to produce children but they can adopt which the world desperately need right now.

So tired of hearing about Prop 8! People can protest all they want, but the fact is that it's the PEOPLE that voted this way to begin with.

Marivone, what does it mean "Does that mean that women that cant have children should not be married? " - who are you asking? me? well, I never said gays shouldnt get married. Maybe you can show me where I did? Or maybe you misunderstood my theoretical remark about the idea of the marriage?

Civil rights? The problem is that according to the laws of different countries gays are people like everyone else and they actually ask for the rights that they already have but without "sex orientation nuance".

Yes, official status will make gays happier, but the truth is that they can go and get married THESE DAYS.
It's not Middle ages now. Things have changed.
But not because of "yelling people", believe me. It happened because a lot of famous and educated gays showed the World their absolute talents in different spheres, some gays confirmed their orientation AFTER gaining general acceptance of people who thought being gay it's a kind of a sickness or dirt.
A lot of snobs and homophobes had to change their ways of thinking.
Do you think after they saw gays scandal demonstrations? Oh come on!
Black people fighted another way - they worked much harder than white people in an atnosphere of agression towards them. Black people had to be twice smarter, twice stronger, twice faster. It differs from gays situation. Gays are objects of dissimulation. "Oh, u're gay? thats fine!" thinking "eeewww".
Tolerance doesn't come with yelling. It comes in time. Yelling won't help. so celebrities like Kim don't help gays saying SHAMESHAME to government at every corner. I see just PR-speculations from stars without smth MEANINGFUL for gays.

I am really sick of hearing about Gay Marriage. No offense but there is WAY more serious shit going on in this world. Our country is sinking in debt and shame and all people can think to bitch about is GAY MARRIAGE?!? Your president is spending another 56 BILLION dollars on the war this year and deploying MORE TROOPS and yet were having this same Gay Marriage rally and discussion for the millionth time. It makes no sense whatsoever and I am so sick of it being forced down our throats. Look at it logically most people divorce after 2-3 years together anyways, I don't understand why gays are in a rush to do something that almost inevitably fails every time. I honestly think its more of a 'look at me' thing then anything else and before we start pushing for gay marriage there should be some studies done on how it effects children. That is my main concern, the kids but I have yet to hear one educated opinion from a homosexual that can tell me FACTUALLY that having 2 moms or 2 dads will not fuck them up in the future. I am so sick of all these Hollywood people pushing this shit down our throats, like who really gives a shit what Kim Kardashian says? She is the LAST person who needs to step into this. Let it rest and it will happen when its supposed to, Gay people are just dragging this on now. Worry about the world around you and good things will come. All I see is a bunch of selfish and whiny people who are adamant on getting something that they don't even know the ramifications of. Makes no sense but then again nothing in this country does.

I seriously think that having no home to call your own, to starve and be abused, like so many orphans are, will **** up children way more than having 2 moms or dads that provide them love and care.

Anonymous Anonymous said:

Actually this is a pretty serious issue, considering peoples basic human rights and freedoms are being unjustly denied.

Many marriages do in fact end in divorce, but that doesn't mean that same sex couples shouldn't be allowed to marry. If anything, they definitely would not take their chance to marry for granted and would take marriage seriously (unlike men and women seem to be doing these days...).

Your main concern is for the kids?! What a good joke! How many children are neglected or abused in their heterosexual parent homes right now? How many are in homes where mom or dad are addicted to alcohol or other substances? How many children come from divorced families? How many children are raised by a single parent? Do some research and learn about how negatively these various issues are effecting our children today. (And please don't waste anyone's time coming back with some immature rant about how allowing same sex marriages would just add to these problems.) If you're so concerned about the children, then perhaps nobody should be having children?!

I'm not even going to respond to your 'look at me' statement, because that just screams ignorance (as does the majority of your comment).

Action does need to be taken, otherwise the change that is being sought will not come.

Shame on you Kim! What happened to tolerance and the right to a difference of opinion??? Now it seems that everyone has to think and do the same or your just a horrible person. I would rather be a horrible person and think for myself than be a mindless follower.

By the way shouldn't it be shame on the courts, judges? Afterall they made the decision to uphold prop 8. So shame on you Kim for not being more informed : )

Can someone please tell me why is everyone so ignorant?? seriously.
i don't expect anyone to put sugar coated comments, i guess what she said could be found 'offensive' to some, but does anyone have the decency of respect ? or just decency at all...
It is a free country, for the most part: we have freedom of speech but at the same time what u say does reflect on what type of person you are...
that quote shows what an excepting person Kim is, she respects us so why can't we respect her ?

Oh please! This is just another example of 'celebrities' trying to get in good with the powers that be in Hollywood. I remember when Prop 8 passed and actors, musicians, etc., were asked how they voted, they ALL said NO on 8. Yeah. Like there's any other accepted answer to give if you want to keep your career in the entertainment business. Shame on California? Funny, I don't recall Kardashian saying "Shame on Obama" for 1. Making fun of kids in the Special Olympics, 2. Sending more troops to war when he promised to bring them home, 3. Putting this country into more debt than all previous presidents combined. Where are ANY of the Hollywood blowhards who so BOLDLY bashed Bush? And yes, I voted for Obama. Just a little buyer's remorse.

The truth of the matter is that it doesn't matter who said what and how they said it. It is about people accepting others for who they are. I am not for gay marriages but I am 100% for civil unions that allow homosexuals to benefit and experience all of the things that straight people do. Marriage is about committing to one person in front of God and because of the beliefs that have been set into place through Christ and his teachings, those that know the bible know that homosexuality is considered a sin. This does not mean that we are to lecture, condemn, or hate those that are homosexual. Everyone is so set against things that they view as wrong or immoral but who are we to judge? God is the real judge of humanity and it is our job to spread love, regardless of what form it may be in, rather than spewing hate or negative opinions at those that are different than us. We are all human beings and we all deserve to be respected and loved. So rather than focusing on the ability for gays to marry we should really be focusing on all of our abilities to live harmoniously and to be accepting of those that are different than ourselves. We do not need a law to make homosexuals feel as though they are afforded the same rights as straights, we need compassion and acceptance by society.

If two consenting adults wish to marry, they should be able to, regardless of their gender.

I can't help but wonder what happened to separation of church and state? It clearly was forgotten somewhere along the way! I wish people would realize that their own religious beliefs are not necessarily shared by everyone else, and therefore should not be used to oppress others. (I also wish people would remember that marriages do not require a religious affiliation.)

Shame on President Clinton for signing DOMA.

#1 Rotten people like Kim, who cleverly sell their tapes for money, are fake and they raise such topics to get only the media attention and cheap publicity. They have nothing to do with any causes in reality! They need only celeb space on the news papers and TVs and such people are nothing less than retards!

#2 I wish all American states (unfortunately some already passed it as a law) to reject this Gay and Lesbian nonsense. It will create more hatred around the world about the people and the culture on the whole. All such things generate certain degree of cheapness when they mix up with different people. Say, Europeans values are not same as Americans. Or Asian societies don't prefer to accept such people. Or, people from Middle East absolutely loath such people. It won't help American people's image at all. STOP these retards and all this public loss of money and nuisance.

Thank you,

Tomahawk
