Love That Blow Up Pool

We are members of our town pool, but sometimes you just want to have a relaxing weekend at home.

Out comes the inflatable pool. LOVE that thing! The kids go nuts and Bill and I lounge quietly all safely tucked behind the gates of our house. When we are done, we are inside within minutes. No packing up. No saying goodbye to anyone. It couldn't get easier....

Today is my father in law's bday - so we are soon heading out. Can't wait to see what my mother in law made. A summer day with no cooking is a great day isn't it?!

I've lived on Lake Huron my whole life, and it is great to enjoy a private beach, but I had a Little Tikes pool too when I was little! It was from the 1980's with a little slide and it was bright blue and awesome! It wasn't a blow up though. It was like that hard plastic that Little Tikes stuff is made out of. My parents would fill it up with the hose and buckets of hot water from inside. We'd wash off all the sand in it from the beach and it'd be so warm after the hot summer sun had heated it all day while at the beach. Oh, the good ol' days... the sprinkler was great too!!! Little pools like those are essential!

Last year we had a pool for our puppies, they didn't quite get into it. It's still in storage for this summer since we are fixing our house to put of for sale. My Mother in Law has a pool for her 2 dogs, and they LOVE it.
