Rihanna Gets A Tattoo Lesson

Rihanna Gets A Tattoo Lesson

The girl is addicted. Rihanna just can't get enough of tattoos. But isn't that the way? Once you get one...

Here the singer is taking a tattooing lesson at East Side Ink in the East Village of New York City. Wonder if she got any new ideas while there? What could ever top those guns?

Describe your tattoo in the comment section below if you have any.

I started with one tattoo when I was 18. It was a little butterfly. I am now 28 and I have 8 tattoos. Each one of my tattoos represent different things. I have hearts on my wrist that are different colors and each color represents my sibling. I have two Breast Cancer Awareness Ribbions, on around my wrist and one on an ankle. I also have a girl skull, and my husband has a boy skull....we got those on Valentine's this year. I love tattoos and I am actually planning my next one for my children.

Your tatoos sound awesome!! I heard people usually get them to represent something important in their lives.

My dad has tattoos, now i'm sure that the technic that was used to make his and modern technics are probably different, but from time to time he says they hurt and with years the pain is actually increased.
I'd love to get a tattoo, something small maybe, but i'm afraid my husband will divorce me then :-))) tough call: tattoo or a husband? i'll have to seriously think about this.

It really is an addiction. I started off with a star on my ankle to piss my parents off when I turned 18 and now I have 5 lol. A star, an angel, a gnome, a heart with the hubby's name, and a chicken. :)

They really don't hurt that bad. I think it really depends on where you get the tattoo. The tattoo I have on the back of my neck, a cross with angel wings, felt like a wonderful massage. The arm band hurt when it got towards the inside of the arm. I have heard the foot hurts really bad too.

I have one. I designed it myself. It's a combination of the astrological symbol for Sagitarius, which both of my kids are, the om symbol to center me and the yin yang symbol to balance me. And all three symbols are reflected top to bottom. I topped it with a moon (woman) but my moon glows instead of reflecting the light of the sun (man) to represent my independence since my divorce. It didn't hurt that bad. Itched more than hurt really. Hopefully my image saved and you can see it to the left there. I want one more and I THINK I know what it is, but it took me 15 years to decide on that one so I don't think i have an addictive personality really.

I have two, just got my second 2 weeks ago. I have a small butterfly on my right shoulder and the triple moon on my left hip. Its a full moon with a crescent moon on each side, I had the artist color the full moon to look like the harvest moon and I'm sooooo happy with it. Its a symbol of my religion so I'm really happy it turned out so well.
It only hurts a little my first one actually didnt hurt much at all but the one on my hip did because of stretch marks, I plan to get a few more, but Im still waiting for the newest to heal properly.

I like tattoos...on other people. LOL. Every guy I've ever dated has been covered in them. But I've always wondered if people think about what they're going to look like when they're 70. Rihanna is hot, young, and adorable. So all of her tattoos look hip and hot. But what happens when she's not the cute, young, fashionista anymore. She's gonna look a little silly. And I know I'm saying this on a board filled with girls with tattoos, but please don't yell at me. LOL.

'what they're going to look like when they're 70.' I have thought about that. I could never get tattoos all over my body like Rihanna or Angelina Jolie. Although, Rihanna has a lot of small tattoos in places that are really seen unless somebody point them out (except the one on her hand.) She has one in her ear and one behind both ears; she also has one on her ankle and foot. That is where I got the idea to put mine. I saw her and thought those aren't bad places to get tattoos. I got a scorpio sign behind one ear and a dolphin(I LOVE THEM) inside my left ear. I could never get them on my arms like Angelina. That skin is going to sag one day and then it won't look so hot.

I have a tiger on the lower right side of my back. I only have one and I don't plan on getting more. It represents the Chinese year of the tiger (1986; my birth year) and my personality & independence. I love it.

I have 3. Two small interlocked hearts on the top right of my bum :)
A heart made out of an upside down treble clef and base clef on my shoulder blade.
And a music staff of a song and notes on my lower back.
Music is a very important role in my life, and like certain songs bring back memories, my tattoos do the same, remind me of certain times in my life.

i have 6. My first one I got when I was 19 is a tiny butterfly on my left hip. A year later I got greenery tattooed around that butterfly (i count that as my second one). My third tat is a scorpion on my right shoulderblade (scorpio!). My fourth and fifth ones (i got done in the same session);one is a "Lucky Linx" on my right wrist and then a Libra symbol on the back of my neck colored like a German flag...that one is for my son, Eric who was born in Germany in October 2007. And my sixth one is the chinese TRUE symbol on my left wrist...my husband got the chinese LOVE symbol on his right wrist "TRUE/LOVE" when we hold hands. I have plans to get several more, but I dont want to get them here in Germany, so I am waiting until I get back to America.

The second is my sons name writen on the middle of my heart with a baby angel seating on it. And must say it didn't hurt at all. Im addicted to piercing as well as tattoos. Piercing is another story... i have every (well most) of my body pierced.

the front guns are fake on her anyways.. the one on the side is the only real one. They were playing around... you can read about it from the person who tattooed her. I have a lot of tattoos myself all placed carefully and sized carefully just like Rihanna. I enjoy having them and they are addicting.. I would love to learn how to do it! I dont like the gun tattoo, which is about the only one she has I dont like but it symbolises something and i get it... thats what its about, finding tattoos that mean something to you so you wont regret it. I think that even if you get a guy or girls name tattooed.. like say megan fox has brians... that it meant something to you at a certain time and not to regret it. Like Megan said.. she can always name a kid Brian lol. If you loved that person at one time it is a good memory to have. I think all tattoos are lovely unless they go a little overboard.

I have three tattoos.. I have small angel wings on my back representing my fiance who passed away... he was always my guardian angel... I have live, love, laugh across the top of my left foot and I have a symbol meaning dance tattooed on my inner hip because I am a dancer and have just graduated from dance university. they all mean a lot to me... and I hope to get more that do!! FYI: I read someone say that the foot hurts... it depends on your tolerance of pain for any tattoo but personally it didnt hurt me. The back didnt hurt either but the inside hip was incredibly painful.
