Stella McCartney Shows Off Winter 2009 Ad Campaign

Stella McCartney unveiled two of her 2009 Winter ad campaign shots on her Twitter feed earlier today. Is that... Bambi?

Our Winter 2009 ad campaign launches today.Hope you like it!

What do you think about the decision to add Disney cartoons to the shots? Does it make you want to learn more about the line? Are you even taking notice of the dress in the picture?

If you're just going to throw in a bunch of cartoon characters in the photo why even have the real life animal there? I think this is ridiculous. Especially since you don't take notice of the clothes they're trying to promote. You're too darn focused on trying to figure out if it's a practical joke or not.

I so agree...

The Bambi thing takes the focus out of the clothes.. the clothes aren't striking or noticeable in the first place and now they're doing something to distract it more..

and the way they put the model near the tree.. or the whole forest thing isn't working at all... the dress is brown and it just gets drowned by the forest colors.. this is utterly a bad ad..

Weird. What a waste of spending money to be able to use those characters.

I don't really care for Disney so it kind of turns me off. Although, it's not like I was gonna buy this sh*t anyway.

Love it, love her. Stella is a big fan of the critters and I think this ad is brilliant.

The clothes are gorgeous--you frumps can go back to your Juicy tracksuits and leave this stuff to those of us with taste.

It must have cost a fortune to use the Disney characters and it wasn't worth it. It doesn't look cohesive. When you watch movies like Mary Poppins the cartoons interact with live action so it seems realistic. In these ads it looks like Stella just added cartoons just for the hek of it.

WTF? Those ads look like crap. I didn't notice the clothes at all at first... I just noticed Bambi. It looks like paper cut outs stuck to a photograph. Definitely not a smart choice.

I love Stella as a designer, but the add and theme she choose for this collection is not her best.

While I like a few things that Stella made and also the Bambi characters, this is a bit too syrupy sweet for my taste.

Maybe if the characters weren't so bright. Your eyes jump straight there instead of on the clothes...I mean fade them or something...

She should of stuck with real animals if she wanted that type of theme, the cartoons are distracting and make it look cheaper somehow.
