Heidi Montag To Perform At Miss Universe

Any big Heidi Montag fans out there? The pop singer/reality TV show star will be performing for the audience of the Miss Universe pageant next month.
Heidi treated fans to snippets of her
singing while in the Costa Rican jungle earlier this summer on “I’m A
Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!” and viewers of the Miss Universe
Pageant will get to check out what Heidi sounds like on the big stage
on August 23.Heidi will perform the song “Turn Ya Head” off her debut album, “Unleashed,” which came out in July.
Do you think this will make more viewers turn in to see the show? Will YOU be watching Heidi's performance?

Either Miss Universe was desperate for acts or there's a contract clause that says that the ratings have to be below a certain number for the show to be cancelled or moved to another network.

Oh my GOSH! I'd never heard her sing, and I didn't want to prejudge just because people don't like her 'persona' so I hopped over to iTunes to give it a shot. HOLY AWFULNESS! What are they thinking? If your voice has to be drowned out by a synthesizer your in the WRONG profession little sister! Sad to say it's NO GOOD. Actually it's worse than that. Ugh.

ok, i really don't think "pop singer" should be in her title. she clearly paid for studio time and then had spencer follow her around with a handheld video camera to shoot her "music video". unless you mean it in the most literal sense ever, being that she does technically sing, and it is technically pop music.
also, why is anyone surprised that miss universe is allowing this to happen? they let PEREZ HILTON judge miss america. clearly they want their viewers to suffer for some reason.
Remember when Miss Universe was actually kind of fun to watch? I remember being eight and watching it thinking it was fun to see all the women from all over the world. Now I don't see the merit of such a stupid pageant, and I really don't see why the networks think Perez Hilton and Heidi Montag would make me change my mind. Maybe next year I'll be the judge next year. Seems like they are scraping the bottom of the barrel for talent, and all.

omg i had completely forgotten about them lol. i guess its true that in order for them to keep their fame going they need to be posing in front of the cameras. if they stop for a few days no one will remember them haha.

This is a lame attempt to raise the ratings for a dead show like this pageant, and the scary thing is: it might work. She's a character people love to hate, and they (I)'ll be watching hoping to see her make a fool of herself once again.
You know it must have been a good 3 weeks since we've been forced to hear about these crazies- it was such a nice vacation. They make me feel ill just to look at them.

I'm sick of everyone bashing her when they don't even give her a chance. we all know how she was portrayed on the hills. did anyone take the time to realize that it was a scripted show???????? OMG. everyone needs to calm down. heidi montag is a great singer, who has potential and i think we all need to wake up and see that. so everyone, tune in to the miss universe competition!!! That's not her actual voice. It's just a bunch of autotune and even with that it's still bad. Did you hear her singing on "i'm a celebrity.."?? It was awful even janice dickingson said it was. She's just not meant to be a singer, so she shud rly stop. I will be tuning in though on da 23th to see how bad she sucks
