Can somebody tell me how was she?

I didn't really see Katie dance. She just sort of walked around (strutted) a lot. Her voice wasn't terribly bad - just average. As for Moakler, she's way out of line!!!!!!

Well it would have helped if she actually danced instead of having 6 guys dance around her for Tommy Boy's amusement while she walked around then and turned once or twice. Hey Katies heres a little hint, if you are going to be on a show about dancing it might help if you actually do some dancing instead of lip synching while 6 guys dance around you.

the dancing was really simple, anyone could have done that done. as for her voice, it's not bad, but a little annoying in my opinions - kind of nasally...bnut that's the way she talks too.

Who is Shanna Moakler? Maybe I'm out of it, but I would recognize the name Katie Holmes WAY sooner than the name Shanna Moakler.

That being said, I agree with the other posts; Katie didnt really dance. She strutted, shimmied, and shook her shoulders, but there was no dancing.

It's not horrible, but not amazing either.

All the anticipation for THIS?? I don't get it. All she did was sing and strut around. It's not like it was earth shattering or anything. This goes to show that in Hollywood, it's not who you know, but who you blow.

I agree with everybody above, she didn't DANCE at all. I can't believe she's been rehearsing for such a long time to do... THIS. It's not even worth it. It's boring and she's not even really singing... Hope the foundation gets a lot of money from it cause that's probably the only good thing that would come out of this 'performance'.

I'm not sure why she had to rehearse for 6 months to point, do lunges, walk around and overly do jazz hands.

The charity aspect is nice. Overall I'd give it a D-.

YUK! This is not dancing, anyone can do this! I was expecting her to do some tap and more dancing, not just sliding her arms up and down her legs and walking back and forth across the stage. There is a reason that Judy is still an icon!

This could hardly be considered "dancing". Katie's performance was God-awful with bad lip synching and zero dancing. I think people were just pleased to see that Tom let her out of the creepy cult for an evening. She looked gaunt. I think what happened to her career is an absolute tragedy. Meeting Tom Cruise was the worst thing that ever happened to her.

Shanna Moakler is ugly, ugly, ugly, inside and out. Katie Holmes is pure class all the way!

I don't get what all the hype is about Katie Holmes in general? I found her more interesting in her Dawson's creek days.

I agree that Shanna was out of line. As for Katie, a lot of posing and not much dancing. Dancing was average, most of us could have done it just as well with a little coaching. Singing was ok, but I think that was an easy song to sing. Not much of a range there. At least it was for a good cause.

Good for Katie to get out of the comfort zone. The dancing and singing were average, but she never claimed to be either. She's an actress. Shanna is a joke. She's most famous for throwing tantrums and fists.

Wow - some of these comments are harsh. I thought she did a good job. Sure she was lip syncing...but doesn't everyone who is NOT a trained singer/dancer? Give the girl a break.

This is what she's been practicing for for months??? Give me a break! Any dedicated high school drama club member could do much better, but kids don't have Crazy Cruise's resources. He bought wifey a gig on a second-rate show that is run by a fellow $cientologist. She's absolutely untalented, has no rhythm at all and didn't prove she can sing, lip-synching to something that was pre-mixed and electronically fluffed up is not singing. Wow, Shanna is hating, must be some jealousy. I think Katy did fine, yes not much dancing but it was for a good cause. She was brave to do that in front of such a huge audience.

I thought it was cute. Yes she didn't do complex dancing, but she has never claimed to be a dancer. That probably took a lot more practice than it looks like, and I bet you would be surprised if you tried to do it. As for the singing, I liked her voice. You can make fun of her for lip syncing, but most actual singers do that for their concerts too... so why wouldn't Katie, who is NOT a singer.

As for Miss Shanna... she needs to grow up! OK, so you didn't like it. You don't have to be MEAN! I think there is definitely some jealousy there...

What exactly did she have to train for..... walking? Thats all it seems that she did across that stage. Not to mention.... she can't even sing.

I thought she did a really good job, and who is Shanna Moakler to think anyone cares about her opinion. She is nothing more then Travis Barker's ex-wife, if she's so damn talented, why isn't anyone booking HER on anything?

Katie was clearly lip syncing, but it was also obviously her voice. I remember at least 2 occasions that she sang on Dawson's Creek and she sounded pretty close to the way she sounded last night. I'm not a fan, or an anti-fan either of her, but you gotta admit, she looked really good. :-)

how disappointing...it was so boring. I kept waiting for her to do something fantastic or even a little bit of dancing, but all she did was walking around stage. Why did she even go to any of the dance classes? What a waste! And no not eveybody lipsynced! You will never catch any rock'n roll, country or rappers lipsynching....EVER!

I think she is very talented. Does this Shanna girl, sing, dance or act? I mean really. Be quiet, she is so annoying.

Katie's performance wasn't the best, but Ms. Moakler should be quiet if she doesn't have something nice to say...it was for a good cause after all. Sheesh.

I must say I am a bit surprised that katie can actually sing, I was half expecting a squawk. As for Shanna apparently she was the only one in the world that ever watched and "lived" musicals... what a whackado

Katie was recreating a Judy Garland number, not Ann Margaret, and she failed!! :P

Katie was lovely and noble.Judy Garland's routing was simple so no big deal.

Shanna is trash and jealous. She can learn a lot from Katie being a lady,being classy and having real talents.

What a treat and she's a great performer. Katie looked so stunning,its for a worthy cause and she had fun. More importantly real critics,real fans and the professional dancers loved her. Shanna Moakler is a joke and it only backfired on her for her nasty envious comments.
Katie was an online hit and did you read the news she made the show win the ratings which has not happened before for SYTYCD on Fox network.

Katie was entertaining from beginning to end. She looks happy and so natural. Dancing and charity is a lovely combo.

Im proud of her....it takes courage to do that. She had fun and she's an all around talent. Some forget she did this to make her charity known.
What do trolls do including Moakler? Katie has the talents,blessed life and family and does something for society and the world. What are your talents folks? do you help the world?
Many singers and actresses lip synch the concerts,Grammys,Tonys,Oscars,superbowl etc...
lay off the double out of this world standards for Katie!
