Weight Is Back - Not A Happy Camper

Weight Is Back - Not A Happy Camper

So remember how great I did with Weight Watchers - I was the skinniest I have ever been LITERALLY. My first day of High School I remember weighing myself and the number I saw (which I won't share) - but I was about 10 pounds lighter at my lightest.

Well, now it's all come back.

And I can't really complain. We've had an amazing summer with friends and family. I have people over my house a few times a week for BBQs, on the weekends hubby and I are meeting up with our friends for good times - it's all out of love and enjoyment. BUT - yesterday I hit the low mark.

I couldn't find anything to wear that didn't make me look pregnant. And I wanted to throw up. The pooch is back. Bill and I went to a goodbye party in Brooklyn last night. A friend of mine got accepted to some amazing wood working program in California and will be gone for at least 1-2 years.

So, we all went to Brooklyn Bowl and had a great rainy day. The place is out of CONTROL. It just opened up 2 weeks ago and literally was the coolest bowling alley I have ever been to. It was like a trendy club that was PACKED and PUMPING at 5pm! When I walked in, my mouth dropped. Out of control. Click here to check it out.  I told a few of my friends we have to go there again and SOON.

But look at that damn menu - I mean how can you NOT gain weight when you have all that yummi-ness to choose from. I'm doomed - before I even walk in the door.

Weight Watchers here I come once again...

Aw, it's ok Vera everyone has those off days that makes us want to shoot ourselves for gaining all the weight back that we have worked so hard to get off !! But the most important thing is to get back on the wagon and start a new day with better choices. Good Luck and don't sweat it you look great no matter what! :)

Don't obsess too much over it, Vera. If you are happy and healthy, that's all that matters. You can always get back on track tomorrow. And honey, you are still at a weight that a lot of people would LOVE to be at. ;) Don't beat yourself up - you've had an amazing summer.

I have not had a good summer either with my weight. Then to top it all off, the new house my hubby wants to put an offer on has a POOL. A frickin pool and hot tub. I am in no shape to get into a swimsuit. Talk about thunder thighs. Anyway, I guess I will spend the winter getting back into shape, then next summer watch out. I'm sure my treadmill misses me. Maybe I will join WW with you once I get settled, if there is one in my new area. I'm sure you look just fine. We are always our own worst critics. As for that menu, yumm, I see several things I could go for.

I'm no fitness expert, but swimming is a great way to get in shape! (That's what I hear - haven't tried it, lol!) We are in the process of buying a house, also! Just put an offer on one today!

Good Luck with your house buying. Hope your offer was accepted. That's always a relief.

Yes! A pool would be a great thing for some weight loss. Doing laps is amazing for cardio endurance and muscle toning. Do it!!! And, ahah don't worry about thunder thighs because only your hubby will see them! I am on vacay right now at a beach house in NC and the beach is packed -- I am more than a little self-conscious to go out everyday and show mine!

That's true, swimming is good exercise. The house is also on over an acre of land, so no close neighbors to think we have a beached whale laying out by the pool.

I've always thought it was fine to be a little chubby, just not anything unhealthy. I'm about to start my first diet and work out regime, but I'm not sure where to start. Is WW expensive?

I usually end up losing a few lbs in the summer & gain in the winter....I guess cuz i'm a vegetarian so in the summer everyone has BBQ's with only meat & stuff & I'm picky bout who I eat from hence the summer weight loss but in the winter it's so cold out I welcome the heat of the stove so I end up experimenting with various dishes. Everyone is different.

You've done it once before Vera, so you can do it again. No worries, man! Just think of everything you've enjoyed. You only live life once. And like I said, you will get back there again! I have been eating horrible this past week because we are on vacay at a beach house in NC annnnnnd there is SO SO SO much delicious food that is not so healthy that we have stocked up in the house. And then I spend the whole day on the beach where everyone can see my stretched out tummy from stuffing it with food and booze. Speaking of booze -- it's INSANELY cheap in the states... wtf? A mickey here is 5 bucks... in Canada the SAME thing is $14. I think it's because our liquor is way more regulated (we only have ONE store from where you can buy it so it's taxed like mad).

May I add that I am not a happy camper because being on vacay has bumped me down to 19th place in the top users! I will have to spend some serious time on here when I get the chance. I don't know how some people are almost in the fourty thousands. HOW HOW HOW HOW HOWWWW????

I find that I am not on as much in the summer. I am busy outside doing other things. I figure when the colder months arrive, my points will get higher. Plus my computer has been packed away and the hub and I are sharing his.

Vera, I don't know where you hid the weight because I haven't seen any in the pics. I just freaked over 5 sneaking back. I got two gone, hopefully, next ..... sigh.

Don't worry Vera - you will get back on track once summer is over! I lost 40 lbs a year ago and have gained back 10 since May - just this horrible grilling season. Being so busy, friends, margaritas. You would think with bikini season and cabins and boats, but no! Oh well - At least you know you have a plan on how to do it. Dont fret because once you set your mind to do it you will get yourself back to it, but in the meantime have fun with the summer and your friends. There will be plenty of time to limit your portions, calorie count and eat your veggies:)

Vera, don't stress about it too much. You look great! Most people would kill for your body after having 2 kids!

Hell, I haven't even had kids, and I'd kill for your body! What are you, a size 2?
