Law Enforcement Official: Anesthesia Killed Michael Jackson

A law enforcement insider has told the Associated Press that Michael Jackson died from too much Propofol. The pop star's personal doctor Dr. Conrad Murray allegedly administered the drug to help him go to sleep on a regular basis. The last time was too much for his body to handle.

Murray is currently being investigated for manslaughter though he is denying perscribing or administering any drug that caused Michael's death.

No matter what, he would've found someone to administer the drug. I don't think it's any ONE person's fault. And who knows..maybe Michael gave himself the "final" dose?

so you don't believe in justice? he was under his care and he broke the law. he may have tried to get someone else to do it, but they will (and should) have pay the consequence.

I thought doctors were supposed to "Do no harm". Money makes people do strange things. The last years of MJ's life were painful to watch, and someone should have helped him a long time ago. Maybe Lisa Marie Presley was right; no one could save him from his destiny. I will remember Michael as the boy and man with extraordinary God given gifts. RIP.

MJ's drug addiction and high tolerance levels happened long before Dr. Murray's care. Who hires a heart doctor for primary care? There aren't too many old addicts around. They either die, get locked up, or get sober.

I agree with CatsMommy above, MJ had problems way before this doctor showed up, I bet. Sad, yet I believe he did it to himself in a way.

Totally true, but the doctor will pay the price because he was the last one to administer the drug that should have never been used in a home atmosphere. Michael was a very, very bad drug addict.

too bad for a doctor, i don't believe though that he's at fault, MJ was on all sorts of medications way before the doctor showed up.

Why can't they just let him RIP? And it can't be that hard to figure out who prescribed which medications and what caused his death.=^_^=

part of letting someone RIP is performing an autopsy to determine the cause of death and, if necessary, prosecuting anyone who had a deliberate hand in that death. I thought that was common sense! And when you have someone like MJ who had a dozen doctors who didn't necessarily have his best interest at heart and who prescribed him dozens of contra-indicated medications, yes, it can be that difficult to determine who and what specifically caused his death. Think before you post.

Just horrible. Hospitals have specialists that only deal in such drugs... this "doctor" working for MJ had no business dosing him in such a manner. So sad.losethatgirl blog

he may have been a drug addict before the dr. came in the picture - but if that was the case then why did he prescribed him drugs knowing his history?? that's just wrong. this dr. is no different than the drug dealer we see in the street.

What is sad is that everyone seems to want to point the blame at everyone else but the person who was ultimately responsible--and that was Michael himself. He was the drug addict, and he was the one who went trolling for doctors and medication to fuel his addictions--and as we see several times everyday--when it comes to celebrity, people, including doctors get dazzled by it. I am certain that the doctor was doing nothing more than following the directives of Michael to begin with.

Destiny. "That is it" Tour, "The Final" in MJ's own words. Died at age 50 with 50 concerts planned, a near impossible feat for the most healthy. MJ worked for 45 years essentially non-stop. Chronological age does not match MJ's musical, dance and personal accomplishments plus an extensive body of work (literally and figuratively).
A genius, icon, a complex and tragic individual more appreciated and understood in death than in life. MJ in some ways seem superhuman to have allegedly tolerated high doses of addictive prescription medications. If MJ's personal physician allegedly fell asleep himself while delivering an illegal " routine" dose of the IV anaesthetic drug 'propofol', that is also tragic and unfortunate for that individual. Sleep, an essential component of life, perhaps for Michael could not have been accomplished in any other way. MJ's creative mind may have needed this medication to rest.
In my opinion MJ went out of this life on top and the rehearsal footage of the shows preparation I believe will attest.
MJ was called home after his work was done. RIP, MJ. With Love, Respect and Admiration.

"Died at age 50 with 50 concerts planned, a near impossible feat for the most healthy"...........It's done all the time. Looka t Madonna, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, must I go on....
"plus an extensive body of work (literally and figuratively)"....are you serious on the literal part????
"MJ in some ways seem superhuman to have allegedly tolerated high doses of addictive prescription medications."....it's called being such an addict that you need higher and higher does to feel its effect.

"If MJ's personal physician allegedly fell asleep himself while delivering an illegal " routine" dose of the IV anaesthetic drug 'propofol', that is also tragic and unfortunate for that individual."....tragic and unfortunate. are you kidding me? it's criminal and incompetent.
"Sleep, an essential component of life, perhaps for Michael could not have been accomplished in any other way. MJ's creative mind may have needed this medication to rest."....oh God, not sure what to say here....millions of people suffer from sleep disorders, not one of them resorts to propofol as a sleeping aid.
"MJ's creative mind may have needed this medication to rest."...you keep telling yourself that. HE WAS AN ADDICT, MORON.

" my opinion MJ went out of this life on top"....He was a broken, washed up drug addict when he died. For him to die when he was on top, he would have been gone after Thriller came out.

Elaine 123,

This is an open forum to express ones thoughts and opinions. There is no need to call anyone a moron under any circumstances. Addiction is a medical terminology and diagnosis, not a label to be used without confirmation. Also Dr. C. Murray has not to date been charged or convicted of any crime and thus is not a criminal. The life and death of MJ is a sensitive and complex topic with more aspects of this to be revealed in the future. Today, September 3, 2009 Michael Joseph Jackson is to be laid to rest and the mystery of his life and death will continue to unfold.
