Katherine Jackson Will Retain Custody Of Grandchildren
According to Katherine Jackson's attorney, Katherine and Debbie Rowe have come to an agreement regarding custody of the Jackson children (Prince, 12, Paris, 11, and Blanket, 7). Katherine will retain custody.
Katherine's attorney Londell McMillan said on CBS' The Early Show
Thursday: "It's an agreement, an agreement for the best interests of
the children. This is not a money deal. This is not about money."Asked if the issue of custody and Rowe had been resolved, McMillan said on The Early Show, "We will be making an announcement very shortly on that issue, and all of the parties are resolved. There is no situation better for these children than for them to be raised and reared in the loving care of Mrs. Katherine Jackson."
He dismissed reports that Joe Jackson shouldn't be involved in
raising the children. Said McMillan, "I don't think it's valid at all.
I think Joe Jackson is the husband of Mrs. Jackson, but he's not living
in Los Angeles."
Debbie reportedly will retain her parental rights and get visitation with her the two older children. She will begin to forge a relationship with them with the help of a psychologist. Debbie will not be receiving any additional money as part of this agreement.

Well sorry but the post was kindda clear ha. They attorney dismissed reports that Joe Jackson shouldn't be involved in raising the children. Meaning he can be part of the kids life and see them if he wishes but i doubt that it might happen. His still legaly married to Michael's mom but they've been separated for for than a decade. I just hope that Ms. Jackson and the kids aunts and uncles do not allowed this monster of a man to get too close to these children for his own personal gain.

As lons as these children are happy and get the right care and attention they need at these particular moment is all that matters. My concern is, i think his (MJ's) mom is a little elder to raise three children. I mean i know she'll get help and all, but i cant even deal with my 10 yr old sometimes not to mentioned three kids. Well lets hope that she'll remain healthy and strong for them.

I also think that she is a bit old to take care of them. What would happen if she dies in a couple years (i don't whish her that but she is around 80 so it could happen) ?

I read in numerous places that Katherine would get legal custody, but that Michael's older sister Rebbie (sp?), who has several children of her own, will be very hands on in the raising of Michael's three kids. Paris, Prince and Blanket are apparently "close" with their cousins, so it should be a relatively smooth transition. Not sure as to the accuracy, but I have seen this info several places

That was before the judge's decision. Rebbie doesn't live near Katherine. Chances are that Katherine will die or be incapacitated before they all reach adulthood. What then? I think this was very short-sighted of Michael. I pray Joe Jackson has nothing to do with those kids and that Katherine can finally stand up to him. I am glad that Debbie will begin to have a real relationship with them. I hope that is a solid relationship by the time something happens to Katherine.

If it's not about money, why does the lawyer feel the need to point that out repeatedly? It's not good for the kids that no provision was made to ban Joe Jackson from having contact with them.

I'm glad it was worked out. I think the idea of a psychologist involved to help the kids with visitation is a wonderful idea. Having the kids live with family they already know and are happy with is best for them.

i'm glad the kids will be together. as long as the kids are happy that's what really matters. good to hear that they are thinking about their happiness as well.
The whole situation is just extremely sad. 1. Because it's sad MJ's childhood was taken from him in the first place and he had to manifest it in strange ways such as, 'Wonderland' 2. Because he left young kids in the world without a father 3. Because everyone in the world knows very private, personal, and somewhat embarrassing information about the Jackson family.

I find this whole situation tragic. The entire Jackson famiy should be ashamed of themselves for being greedy and maniulative a$$es who only care about themselves and where they stand now that the money supply has been depleted significantly. It has been over a month and Michael is still not buried. The family can't even get together and put him in the ground somewhere without there being some form of discussions about how they can possibly profit from it in the long run. I knew it was going to get ugly but I thought maybe they may actually have given him a funeral before it did.
Why now? Those two are old enough to say what they want. If they want her to be in their lives, it should the their choice and no one elses.

I just hope that the children will be ok. They have gone through quite enough.
I am also glad debbie will be in there lives,they are getting older and if they want to be with there mother they should be,to know they have a mother will go along way in helping them ajust, i'm sure she want leave out the little one because she said she would take him also, and katherine is just to old , and the orther jacksons are screwed up, there personal lives and relationships have problems . I'm proud of Rowe. hope the kids get to visit her ranch and see and do normal things.because debbie is private but not freaky private like micheal and the jacksons are!
I think the custody between Debbie Rowe, and Katherine Jackson sounds like it's in the best interest of the children, and one Michael would be happy with.
