Or start from this album and work backward. You won't be sorry! They are the wonderful, energetic, southern rock n' rollers who have made the past year of my life amazing!

Im with you...KOL have been one of my fav bands for almost 7 yrs. Must download songs: "Milk", "California Waiting", "Taper Jean Girl"...wait, hold on, i havent met a Kings song i havent loved ! Bittersweet them becoming mainstream

Absolutely! I was so sad when I heard them on one of our local pop radio station. I was happy for them for their much deserved success but sad for me because now they are becoming so mainstream. But I think you and I both know they will never change who they are which is why I love them! Nathan rocks :)

I agree with absolutely everything you said! They have been one of my favorite bands for years now, so I'm a little sad to see them becoming main stream (read: on local "pop" stations). :(

For anyone who hasn't heard KoL, I so encourage you to seek out their music - you won't be sorry. As obsdwithino said, be sure to check out everything from 2003's Youth and Young Manhood (their first full album) on. The sound definitely evolves and changes on each album and lots of people have their favorites (mine constantly revolves between the first three albums, but Only by the Night is still a great record). And SEE THEM LIVE if you can! They're incredible!! I have to literally force myself to put other bands cd's in my cd changer in the car - it's usually filled with KoL albums and EP's.
Bonus for fans - LIVE DVD coming out in the fall!!!!!

This was one of my fave songs about three months ago.
I'm so sad. I missed their concerts here in germany because I had to work in france during that time. Now I'm looking for every video that is posted somewhere. A trip to america is to expensive. I wish they would play again in germany this year but I don't think that this will happen. Maybe next year!!! :) I hope to see them as soon as possible.
